QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Apr 13 2009, 01:15 PM) Ya lah, end result - got burntĀ Because people goreng it too long, don't know when to take it out, try to dip any food in a hot oil, if take out too late, what happen on your food? I alwiz feel that those who play "goreng" all the time will lose more than they earn in the long run. Maybe they time the market right the 1st few times, after that, when they got burn, they are in for serious trouble. My colleagues are my living examples. Most of their capital shrunk since the market enter the bear sentiment. As for me, I'll choose for long term investment. Short term gain is long term pain.

everybody's capital will shrink when it's bear..even long term, ur net worth is going down.. but for long term... you will never miss any boat.... only risk is paying more for the entry ticket...

Net worth might be going down. But for goreng purpose, your investment capital shrink together. For long term investment, some counters offering good dividend payout, which means, you have more money to reinvest. But for goreng purpose, if you time the market wrong, you are in for big trouble. Some counters might not go back to their "peak" price, while some already abandoned by speculators.

I also don't really goreng. Use less than 5% of my investment for it. Since I'm not good in goreng, alway under cook (sell too early). Total goreng gain this year is around 1K+ Currently, want to sell off my mid term stocks (Warrants) and over heating stocks!!! To me, IOI and genting are also goerng stocks. Dare to buy only they are " cheap". Also some co if making good money then not as goreng stocks, if they lose money, also goreng stocks.
