Hi All,

As stated in the title, I will be renting an apartment/condominium soon.
So I need to find out the rental procedure.
And moreover, other than the rental fees, what other costs that needed to be bear by me in the whole process?
Hope you guys to lend me some help as I'm totally new at this smile.gif

1) your rental (advance 1 month)
2) additional 2 months rental as security deposit
3) half month rental as utility deposit
4) cost of preparation of tenancy agreement

TS, I'm also planning to rent a property soon. Hope you don't mind I ask some questions here. I haven't engaged any agent yet

Let see, if I want to rent a studio apartment for 2 years, and suddenly I wont be able to afford to pay the rent anymore (i.e lost job), do I still have to pay for the rest of the rent or usually the owner will just take the deposit and that's all?

prepare the agreement.
get his copy of ic.
get his signature ant the agreement.
and also ur copy of ic and your signature.
better to have inventory list. what furniture or equipment provided in the house and their condition while hand over the key to the tenant.

after receiving all the deposits from him, give receipt.

then bring the completed agreement to pajabat hasil to be stamped. otherwise, the agreement is not valid in court.
1 agreement -> rm10 stamp value
