QUOTE(dr2k3 @ May 11 2009, 11:12 PM) Actually if u have contacts and resources, u can start a lawsuit/sue them already. They clearly claim in their t&c that they are not responsible for international link, which means they are responsible for local links.Lowyat has so much prove of their bad connections. Might get hack or DDOS by TM one day. TM gave me 218.111 ip range today and they will be monitoring the connection on their side and be getting overview the performance, they will call me back tomorrow for further actions. It's the range that all 4Mbps users are getting. I feel sorry for all 4Mb users, this IP range is much slower than 124.82 and 118.101 in my area. Even pings to local servers are suffering heavy packet loss than other ranges. How can TM do this? U guys pay so much for 4Mbps and get worst connection than 118.101 and 124.82. They better not mess up the connection in my area as a lot of judges/high ranking officers and many important people are living in my area, if they mess it up here too, goodbye to them. QUOTE(pillowman @ May 12 2009, 04:45 PM) andrew are you 4mbps user? if no, where is your location and can you briefly describe how do you apply/ask for 218 ip range. this range is reported to have good connections to US so some gamers/forumers may want it badly. thanks for sharing. I have to advice you that the 218 IP is nothing better than the others and you should stick with your normal ranges for the time being. Although I'm not a gamer, I know that gamers need consistence, low ping times with no packet loss. This IP has no good charateristics at all. Also, this IP has been going downhill since it was given to 4Mbps users, u can check at 4Mbps users thread here : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/458185/+1400I did not ask for the IP, although i was wishing for it. I was given a call from Mr.Shamshul?(sorry, i didn't not get exact spelling) of TM today saying that they have done something to my account and require me to disconnect and reconnect again (in regard to my complaint) and that they will be monitoring performance on their side and try to make improvements to their service. I did so and found out the new IP range I'm locked into. It's even worse than 124.82 in my area (Kota Damansara) because it has very high packet loss even to LOCAL routes which 124 range did not have. ------------------------ I have complained to these departments and a few ministers: List of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (and email addresses) for the reference of users who would like to complain to higher authorities. http://www.pmo.gov.my/?menu=cabinet&page=1797 http://www.pmo.gov.my Feedback to PM (requires registration) http://www3.pmo.gov.my/emaklum/PMFeedback.nsf/logv1?openform BIRO PENGADUAN AWAM - JABATAN PERDANA MENTERI http://www.bpa.jpm.my/ MCMC - Suruhanjaya Komunikasi & Multimedia Malaysia (complain button is on the right) http://aduan.skmm.gov.my/ OR Alternatively: aduanskmm@cmc.gov.my ---------------------- But even their "Premium ip" is fouled up! I will test this IP for a few days, if there is no improvement i will send emails and call those departments again to report on the slow LOCAL connection and also on behalf of all the users in the "Premium IP". By the way "pillowman" or others here how is the packet loss on the normal ranges now? This post has been edited by andrew9292: May 12 2009, 05:36 PM |

QUOTE(cshong @ May 12 2009, 05:33 PM) Only TM replied me by e-mail & MCMC replied me by email once only, the rest of the communications are by phone, sorry.Even now TM has stop emailing but calls me instead. There was a thread created by me on TM's replies tho if u search deeper in this forum... Dont worry u can raise the issue to this new government, they are always willing to help. Even MCMC, so far dealings with them are very smooth and to the point. Ask them help u and HELP TM solve their problems, yes HELP TM. But still, for now it looks like no matter where u are or what IP you are on, its the same. *218 ip has improved slightly (packet loss from 60% this afternoon is now fluctuating around 0-45%), will contiunue monitoring. even with TM's premium ip address (218.111)....i am still getting shit.
[attachmentid=977970] Worst part is this is only affecting home users, cybercafe and offices perfectly fine. This is corruption, i have reported to mcmc last time, this time i'm bypassing mcmc, go direct to PMO and ACA. If they are doing networking upgrades to the dslam/exchange in our area, why is it the cybercafes and office are okay, but only home users affected. Purely corruption, thats it lah, had reach the limit. will write in a formal letter to ACA in 2 days, now collect prove to open case. |

QUOTE(fabianz03 @ May 22 2009, 08:09 PM) Why? If slow and ping is not nice, full of Packet Loss or High Ping then its understandable.... might be lowyat net's server upgrade issue too. Otherwise it means TM is CAPPING to local site? This post has been edited by andrew9292: May 22 2009, 08:13 PM |
