The bastards actually got balls to call me this morning after i complain to them.
The guy actually told me to continue monitor the internet connection and call back if problem persists. Then he straight away close my report. |

Then he straight away close my report. no point la all their words useless if the problem is with routing how can tech support fix it? right? they cant choose to route u using their pc with this ip range or some sort its done by another team entirely on a larger scale |

guys any tips on selecting ip?
after a few tries i wont be able to connect, it's like they have some auto-bar feature that prevents ppl from reconnecting many times i've been trying for 3 hrs now ever since the rain caused disconnection from a very good ip. |

QUOTE(phoenixxx @ Apr 12 2009, 05:07 PM) guys any tips on selecting ip? they lock the ip range and routing by area, no longer can get certain ip for certain areaafter a few tries i wont be able to connect, it's like they have some auto-bar feature that prevents ppl from reconnecting many times i've been trying for 3 hrs now ever since the rain caused disconnection from a very good ip. so easier to do checking or reverse dns for them, trying to comply with some kind of standard the problem is not with locking the ip but assigning of routes to the ip, what tmnet does is assign a static route out of their 13~15 incoming peering into malaysia so the good highly paid peers fall into certain ip range which you guys perceive as fast connection and the bad ones fall into the other terrible peers. so no matter how many times you try even if you ip changes, the main gateway does not change that easily, there could be a few gateway from your housing area but when you renew ip chances are you will end up in the same gateway |

So if you're still getting it , consider yourself to be 'lucky' Because my friend got this range also for his 4 Mbps but still got routing problems I got 2 ADSL lines here at my house both can connect to 60.48 & 60.49 At the moment i also can connect to ( Good Feng Shui ) Lucky Arowana 60.50 60.51 60.53 60.54 118.100 118.101 124. 60.48 60.49 Yeah my 4 Mbps case was special case it's not in their system :-) maybe this caused me these |
