im using straight cable but no luck.
(streamyx modem to pc is straight cable right?)
maybe i should find cross cable tomorrow.


Added on August 28, 2010, 7:16 pmguys,i used cross cable also no luck.
i followed the instrucyion at page 1st.
no luck.

does the LAN connection has to be enabled?
because i only enable the modem and ics setting at the modem.

still cant get the ip.
anyhelp?

if update use proxy method la.
download use your pc.

change the ip address at the LAN,not your phone mode.
192.168.0.1 for pc.
then proceed with the step.

Important Note: If you failed to get the ip address,it means the computer/router and your ps3 is NOT connected via lan.Try to do LAN connection first before attempting connecting to your wireless modem.Your wireless modem has nothing to do with the error "unable to get ip address".

Really need help guys. Instruction on page 1 only for XP. My one is windows 7. Quite different options i think. Been trying few nights la, but never succeed. Hope Mr. TS can update steps for windows 7 user.

IDK about windows 7, but on my Xp,i set my LAN connection pc by using manual ip address. 192.168.0.1 for pc,and set up manual ip for my ps3 too,192.168.0.2 for ps3. Then i enable ICS on the broadband connection,not on the LAN setting.
