I did this even when my warranty period was over not eligible but just called the apple helpline and told them the truth. The guy helped me to get an appointment with apple repair centre and they agreed to replace it since it was not my fault.

Hi all, my 16in M2 2022 is having a black screen issue. I can still see the screen lighting up but it's vage. When connecting it to my home TV as a mirror to main screen it is usable.

Worst is I bought an AOC 27G2SE/68 monitor for temporary use and it shows my desktop but not responsive.

Anyone has come across this issue, do I need to replace my screen. Any recommendations?
