Take a look at this, it's a cheaper alternative to the Optibay

You do realise you will void your machine's warranty if you replace the optical drive. Something you might want to consider...

I'm not sure it that will fit since some these adaptors come with additional plastic trims that you will have to get rid off or not it won't fit in the MBP.

Read up on the link I posted earlier. The adaptors on eBay are much cheaper and removing the plastic trim doesn't seem very difficult.

Don't go to Apple retailers (eg. Machines). Instead, go to an Authorized Apple Service Center. If you are in the Klang Valley area, may I suggest Sapura. I have heard that they are quite efficient in what they do.

Sapura Synergy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Authorised Service Provider) - Service Center
116 Jalan Semangat, Section 14,
46860 Petaling Jaya

Tel: 603 7958 8802
Fax: 603 7958 8100
Email: axispj.support@sapura.com.my
Web: http://www.sapura.com.my
Operating Hours: Mon - Fri @ 8.30 am to 6 pm

Get an Applecare case file lodged and make sure to mention it when you are handing in the machine.

Good luck!
