how long would it take for Apple to repair a machine that is still under warranty? I am still having trackpad issues.

For a couple of times, my macbook pro has been hanging with the beachball going on and on. I would then hold down the power button and then turn the computer on again.

Now, I can't even get the computer to load pass the grey screen with the apple logo and the loading wheel at the bottom. Have I fried my macbook?
