Hi... I have a mac mini, cant remember which generation, but i bought it about 2 years ago.

recently i tried using the superdrive to read a DVD, but realised that it would not suck in the disc, then i checked the eject sign at the top and it says there is no drive

I hardly ever use the optical drive on my mini and have no idea when it failed..

can it be repaired? or would it need replacement?
