Hi,

I am now residing in terengganu for work purposes. I have registered to take P6 Advanced Taxation. But, the problem is I can't join any IRC held during weekday (can't take leave). May I know which college in KL or Selangor will have IRC during weekend. Ya, will Dr Choong Kwai Fatt conducting any IRC for P6 this round? Thanks in advance.

Any changes the most important in P6 this round?

Depend on lecturers, some lectuers will conduct revision class. But since most of the revision class oso 3 days or more, you need to apply leave la to attend it. KSA, MCO or Kbandar in KL oso got some lecturer run revision class, you can go to their website to download the latest time table.

I think Choong Kwai Fatt will not conduct any class this sitting. By the way, you can direct email him to check, may be he will change mind last minutes. haha (CKF email: kwaifatt@yahoo.com)

According to ACCA examination rules, this round P6 should be test under Budget 2009. You better go to revision class to update it la.

Try to read some of the articles released by the examiner himself. For my seating he tested all the articles he released (sort like a bonus).
If memory serves, Alan Yeo likes to conduct IRC on weekends.

P6 can try Low Chin Ann at Kbandar.

P5 Chow Kim Tai will conduct IRC in Nov, he is better than Andrew (KSA) in this paper. If you want to try other method, then u baru consider Andrew. You must take note oso, in Andrew revision class, he won't give any key notes and totally discuss Q & A in this 3 days.

Oh thats quite cheap, then you should really go. I have attend some of the talk at ACCA Career fair & its really good (but its very quiet & people are damn serious). I think they hold it bcos :
1) Question mark on F8 examiner future.
2) Low pass rate for F8
3) Technique & Format of answer are more important compared to knowledge in audit (F8).

Last time they hold it there, due to my mistake I called up all my friends b4 asking for the fees (since they did not mentioned it = free). When all organized but later found out cost few hundred ringgit, all back out. Who can blame future accountants eh ?

Firstly, don't compare F level and P Level. The lecturer can cover good in F level doesn't mean, he will be good in P level. I'm attend P5 for both Chow and Andrew, so I can give your better opinion.

For Andrew, most of time he cover calculation part, some time he teach us some calculation tech not in syllabus, for eg: computation for Value of Imperfect Information. In theory part, Andrew just so so only, not cover too much. But please remember, 60% of P5 question will be theory base.

For Chow, he cover more balance in theory and calculation as compare to Andrew. At least, Chow explain to student step by step to write answer for theory, but Andrew only read the answer in the class.

Btw, if you want to study difference tech, then u can consider Andrew, but make sure study 1st b4 go to his revision class.

May I know where is Menara Hap Seng Building and how to pay for the fees? I feel want to join because i found that audinting is quite hard for me.

Can i know what the differences between those:

Test of control
Subtantive procedures
Control objective
Analytical Procedures
Audit Objective

I always can't differentiate those and wrote a wrong answer. Please provide me some guideline. Thanks a lot and appreciated much much.

Menara Hap Seng is beside KFC HQ & opposite Shangri-la hotel. Nearest monorail is Bukit Nanas & Lrt is Dang Wangi.

Regarding the points above, you can refer to someone else but that also shows why you should attend the talk.

The google map :
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d...e=UTF8&t=h&z=17

Walk left after leaving LRT dang wangi. (Wisma Denmark around the corner : ACCA HQ)
Then turn right after seeing Bukit Nanas Monorail station. (Hard Rock Cafe should be around the corner)
You should see Shangri-LA hotel after passing a petrol station.
Walk straight ahead & Wisma Hap Seng is opposite the route, lobby should have Mercedes-Benz retailer.

I think should pay on the spot.

Mine is more like a CPD talk (so they assume participants have enough $$$).
This programme is more tailored to students need so I dont think they will milk student's money here. By all means, if its under RM 50 go for it. However try to find few friends or you will be bored to death (unless you are those that are not bored easily).
