Hey,

Any of you guys know where to get a good armband for the nokia 5800. Wanna go jogging with it and use step counter/sports tracker. I only found this on ebay... but must wait for it to ship:

Anyone know anywhere to get one? Thanks smile.gif

Here is the clock application that I posted some time ago but it has been updated!

Download NEW version

Changelog:
- now you don't need another software to leave the backlight on. it will be turned on as long as the software is running.

Bro,

I know it is just released, but any idea if it will drain a lot of battery if we leave it on all the time?

It will if you leave it on. It'll be handy as a clock to be put on a desk while you're at work or studying. Just put it on the Nokia stand.

I'm trying it now to se if it'll noticably reduce batt life. Benchmark is 3 days for me. Just fully charged it this morning.
I'm leaving the screen on right now.

Hey man,

Let us know once the testing is done smile.gif But wish there was a way to self activate it when the screen is locked? But i guess can't because it is actually keeping the screen on

I heard... lol why the rush man? The next firmware after this one is gonna come a few months later. So yeah...

might as well just wait till it comes out for all regions.. you'll have all the luxury time to update in the months to come.

here is a changelog provided by one of the HK tube users:

* You can set up breathing lights (intervals and which things they should let you know) (missed calls - new sms - new e-mail)
* The screen reacts faster and is more correct
* The xpress music thing is colored red again in default theme
* You can edit the music tracks and delete them
* Browsing is way faster and wifi also
* Icons look a big bigger than before
* You only have 3 font size options (before you have like 4 or more)
* The icons have changed a bit (sms icons look more E-series like.)

not big of a deal of u ask me
*
Haha.. I know man, but new firmware, however small the changes.. always gets one itchy to update. But I will wait. Don't wanna install the hong kong firmware - prob few minor differences. And def don't wanna void the warranty

Any way to save stations? Cause the online station selection is good. But have to go find them each time i start the program. The default ten stations are not sufficient.

this is just personal preferences. smile.gif
some love the iphone but they have no money to buy such an expensive phone and so they resort to the tube.
can't blame them, can you?  biggrin.gif

and you don't see iphone imitating the tube because tube is cheaper than iphone..  icon_rolleyes.gif
you can see china brands imitating the branded stuffs; eg. penasonic = pensonic;
but you don't see branded stuff imitating the china stuffs right?

same rule applies..  brows.gif

Pensonic is our local malaysian brand based in penang where i am. But i do agree. Like the iphone dark theme but staying with my nca themes cause i wanna keep the tube a tube. But it is personal preference. And also to that post about the price drop. That was fast. Guess the already cheap tube is even cheaper now. Dont see a point buying another phone with that price tag. Can just replace our tube if it breaks and still have cash to spare compared to getting the n97, omnia hd or idou which will all prob be 2.5 k plus.

How do we get to z:? using mass storage? cause on the phone there is only C: and E:

also here is a link to the video of the new v21 firmware from a user on daily mobile:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wqhKHTJbgs&fmt=18

edit: I had trouble viewing the video in youtube so I used keepvid.com to download the video then played it.

granted the video is not that good, but at least it is promising, tube seems much faster in normal menu and also internet seems faster. smile.gif

Yes, usually it highly recommended to install in memory card unless the app. instruction told you need to install in phone memory to make sure the app. fully works.

I cant confirm that brother. I think it would be yes.
I just take my risk to update it. I'm not really afraid to update the firmware by change the product code because I think nokia will not release the firmware that cause severe damage to the phone.
*
Very tempted to change product code also, So you used f1? what is the full product code... but then i am sure if i do, tom the firmware will be out for malaysia. Haha

Seems like the firmware update has been pulled... can't access via navifirm. Or maybe they are doing a mass update for all, and tom we can get ours smile.gif (wishful thinking)
