besides checking firewall, etc., try checking which IP the media server is listening on in the Trace window. It should be on the same subnet as the PS3.

I've also heard there's conflicts when you enable windows media sharing, altho not sure if that applies to XP.

Problem solved. For my case I had to use 'Force networking on interface' under the 'General Configuration' tab. After that it has no problem detecting the PS3.

Thanks for the thread. Able to stream nicely except for RM files which has a noticeable lag.

Hi guys, i recently setup my PS3 with TVersity and PS3 Media Server. Both connects and can play videos. But I can't listen to MP3 or browse Photos. Anyone knows why?

Need help

I have an issue with mkv files with DTS audio.
I'm using Tversity and tsMuxer. Output to all formats TS/M2TS/AVCHD.

My Issue is that I'm not gettting any audio though my streams.
PS3 > AMP with DTS > LCD all via HDMI.

What could be the Issue? I'm not even getting any sound by playing on my PC either.
Can't test out the mkv file, wont play.
I've converted a few previously and no issues so far.

Advance thanks.

What's is ur mkv movie resolution? standard 1280x720 or non-standard 1280x568 or??....
U can try this... multiAVCHD (freeware) if ur mkv is standard resoultion......

There's a checkbox called Keep DTS audio in stream, which I use. The PS3 then just passes the DTS stream to my decoder.

No you don't need to be connected to the internet. As long as your PC and PS3 are on the same network, you're fine smile.gif
