Hi all,

My friend would like to look for a part-time Diploma in business studies course. He is currently working a full time job. Unfortunately, his SPM didn't do so well, he got D for his English and Bahasa Malaysia and has only 2 credits in other subjects which is not enough to apply for most Diploma courses.

Can anyone provide any guidance on how should he proceed? Whether he needs to take a "certificate" so that he can study Diploma or?

Please advise.

Thanks

Many of these students are here at Taylor's University for the very first time for a special 4 day residential programme called The OMG (Own My Game) Camp.

The camp focuses on experiential learning, and how a better understanding of your passions, skills, goals, and interests can make a significant difference in charting your education pathway after high school.

For a live feed of the OMG camp you can check out #omgtaylors on instagram or find out more about the programme here: http://m.pgtb.me/dqvBKn

For advise, any subject don't ever try to consider Segi University Kota Damansara.. The lecturers here mostly are part timer, they are irresponsible, their mind set is just to teach fns all the syllabus without caring ur understanding.. Since thy are just part timer, and don't really experiences in this field, so sometime u may asked some tricky question, they don't actually able to answer you, they will come out their own principles by saying "is like that" or "find out urself"..They never come with preparation for class, so once they having problems, they just solving during the class, this cause we always finish our syllabus at last minute or he just give us inaccurate "tips" since the final paper is set by Subang Segi.

Attention: My lecturer have the address of Ir.

Of course there have some good lecturer, but getting lesser and lesser.. because they leave for brighter future..

Okay, now.. Segi system matter,
Their system is terrible messy.. they always make confuse or mess up student course subject and fees payment. In segi, they have MPU n MPW subject/ short sem subj..exp like Malaysian Studies, Moral Studies, English all those subj.. so every year have different talking, when I first year, they said you have exempted this subj (credit transfer: Im from dip to deg student), after tht on 2nd yr, they said u din't get exempted, is not recorded in the system..pls register again during short sem..hell, this will affect my graduation..

Other than that, they will lock your result from the system until you clear your overdue. This is fine, but I thought that I ald pay off all my fees from what is shown from the list payment showed by counselor when I register the course. When I request to seek from her advice, they told me tht she ald resign..

Im taking sundderland program, so in payment they request us to pay in pound which is not following the currency(currently 5.3) is like they set themself to 5.8>> A licensed loanshark!!!

So, don't ever trust to counselor, they will talk until only Segi the best or cheating you about the fees payment..bcz thy just want their commission. Don't let Segi exterior cheated, they just want your money without giving a reasonable services.

Being a graduate does not mean you will get the job. As reported by Jobstreet Malaysia in 2013, 50% of Malaysian graduates are unemployed.

However, you can beat the odds by equipping yourself with the criteria employers look for in a graduate - the 5Cs
