Hi guys,

I just recently bought the Western Digital HD Media Player. I have downloaded a video that requires Digital Audio as stated on the TV Screen while playing. However, there was no audio output from the movie, only visual output.

My configuration is a HDMI Cable from the player to TV. Audio cables from the player to my Yamaha home theather (the right and left jacks) for surround output.

Any solutions will be great. Thanks in advance.

If I'm not mistaken, those L/R jacks do not provide (or get processed) by the DTS processor in the Yamaha.

What you need are the optical cables to connect to the AVR.

Check the rear of your WDTV and AVR to see if there is any Digital optical means of connecting

Cheers..I also realized that it should be done with optical cables. Thanks
