Shah: My suggestion is screw the normal WCG/CGS/ESWC/any tournament rules and keep it simple. Purist and tournament heads might say "WTH?" to this idea but my personal opinion is that since the tournament will be held within the confinement of LAN Party area, it might be too complicated to run them as per normal tournament setting.

Except if E-Club provide their own marshals, which mean players should just goyang kaki and let they run it for you laugh.gif. More than that...well, we don't want to breach the record breaking rules setup by GWR, don't we? nod.gif

hey chaps, its been awhile wink.gif

we've worked out the rules, making it simple, yet feasible to run in short time limits. i'll leave it to Czero to post it up, as he was the one taking notes earlier, but generally we've worked it so that including setup time, no match should take more than an hour, regardless of the game.

this is cause we don't want to take up too much time, and Shah mentioned that the Cyberfusion organizers also plan to run some mini events as well.

i can tell you tentatively what we decided, while waiting for finalization.

cs1.6 and css = 9rounds a side, 2mins a round (i believe we'll use the same old 15sec freezetime), race to 10wins. if draw, 2rounds a side extra. not using the 16k free money like CGS, but the other exploit based rules should be the same.

tf2 = push maps only (well, granary, badlands), race to 3 wins, 30mins or 2 wins per half.

l4d = finale only.

please post any feedback.

yes.. this mini tourney's main target is delivering 100% fun while competing with each other. We should make their job easy as they've done their part either and most important thing is, they've put their trust on us to do the work. so far since yesterday, our fellow lowyatians were busy discussing and planning for these 4 games for our very own convenience. Of course there'll be those who enter this event for releasing their stress and whatsoever, that's why we need to have fun.. laugh.gif laugh.gif

chapree: i've assigned those job to our trustful dudes here where you also knew them very very well.. they've came out with plans, rules and time tables so i believe it's done as for the 1st part... any updates, i will notify and let all of us here know about it tongue.gif

Yeah. I think this is the best rules available tongue.gif . And can explain more on TF2??(Nvr played it laugh.gif ) and 1 more thing, I suggest the time must be in the morning till evening where that is time where ppl flock the hall and I think that is the time where e-games will be very happy as we promote their game as well.

Check my previous post. Updated with schedule.

i think it's quiet impossible to run 2 games at once, and so I put it to be one game at once, since we only got 4 marshalls for the mini tourney. I can't lend my hand during that day or I'll be disqualified later. laugh.gif

And it's e-club, not e-games. nod.gif

but the question is, what are your definitions of simple? some games you can put it down to frags, like CS. whereas l4d and tf2 are more complex games, where frags arent a critical component to winning. case in point would be ninja capping tongue.gif

the rules are there to keep things structured and straightforward, so everyone knows what you can and cannot do. i prefer that to pandemonium.

it's already being arranged.. so please stick to it..

plus there'll be a limitation for you

1 person eligible for 2 games only.. this is to prevent the unfairness of those pro and more tactical teams to win all 4 games offered. at least we can share..
