Ok,

My suggestions for FC - Everyone list game that they have with a PM link on their post. Anyone else wanna exchange FC code with the said fellow can PM the said fellow.

This is inline with what Mud said about having the ppl communicate to each other before adding FC code. (which requires both side to be on simultaneously for them to acknowledge each other.)

Or we could perhaps ask ppl to add their codes to individual game threads. I saw they do this everytime in a PS3 and XBOX thread. For Street Fighter for example, they updated every PSN ID for the game on the starter thread (or at least the second one)

Wouldnt that create more thread? And in long run when the thread is no longer active, ppl will be posting a thread asking. Anyone want to exchange FC for such and such game?

Perhaps something like this might work?

LYN username:
[PM link here]

NDS/NDSL/NDSLi

Game tittle [FC CODE] [in-Game ID]

in spoiler (your successful FC list)

------------------------

Wii
Console Name:
Wii Code:
Online Status:

Game Lists

in spoiler (your successful FC list)

Compiling them up will also make it easier to keep track and we can simply direct newbies asking for FC to the main FC thread. You can still post and update on the respective game thread.

Of course, FCers should link their FC post in their signatures to maek everyone's life easier

for that purpose we can just point them to the proper thread. it's just the same problem of noobies asking about top wii or ds games actually.

Besides a good friend code is only useful as long as the game is still actively played rite?

This is a split from the WAY TOO MUCH (MELAMPAU) thread.

Here is the game summary.

FC code center.

Requirements:
Single Thread, Multi Games
Organized
Non-bloating
Up to date.

Established rules of conduct:
1 post per user
Required updates by user each month. (Reaper counter initiated each month. posts more than 20 days old will be culled.)
Users MUST communicate to each other by PM (more like a clear suggestion to people)
Users must give codes for games they currently own. and i mean that in the strictest terms.

Any suggestions?

Itu dekat atas sudah ada biggrin.gif

I suggest post FC in each start of a game thread that utilizes FC smile.gif. But of course, mod or thread starter hv to update the top of the list. smile.gif

There is no need to update each month if there is no new game is there?
Ur current suggestion sound very much like the current thread.

My 2 cent.

Consolidate both Wii and DS thread FC in one thread
1 post per user
User will have all FC under spoiler
Post end with link to PM poster (for communication purpose)

This is actually what you suggested actually..

All in favor?

IMO, we cannot do this due to nintendo not active as xbox and ps.

we should just make a pinned topic, share FC

one post per person,

Wii
game = FC

DS
game = FC

Contact Me
pm

Online Time
9pm-10pm

just for an example.

my point of updating, even with no new games, is that people need to REMOVE games that they are no longer playing.

the one thing i wanna establish with the FC page is that people have a certain amount of confidence that the info is up to date.

An example of the implementation for my suggestion:

Killzone 2:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/983595

Call od Duty:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/930572

This way, everyone can just go to their specific game and just add whoever is playing. IMHO if added one thread but multigames, it will be more cumbersome for users to search thru the list when the list of users are so many n there's none who played the game they want.

Shouldn't we run a poll. What is good for you might not be good for others. I would certainly agree with phoenix, but a poll might suggest otherwise, and the poll is the route we need to follow, not our opinion.

I agree with Mud about the reset time since most people will lay off the game after completing them anyway. There's no point putting it up if you are no longer playing it.

As for Phoenix points, I believe both format can be done simultaneously as it won't actually interfere that much. You can keep your code in the individual thread as well as the FC thread with the FC thread being the latest ones. The one in the existing game thread will stay there until the thread die.

Which is also why you should link your FC in your signature and also perhaps add in any game you are playing (those no longer in your FC should you still wish to trade FC for those games?

If you want to personally add people's names and codes together for a game that you like, and want to promote, each game would be a task that belongs to each individual fan of the game. and you would have to be tasked to maintain it for at least a year.

Essentially, I'm not going to be the one maintaining it, but if you fail to keep the game going, the public outcry is for the moderator.

You see why I'm am not so hot about this idea?

this is good i think.

reveur's layout mix with this.

essentially no one is going to enforce format, but a guideline that suggests the most informative format would be good.

I'm still thinking on how to prevent people from the hassle of copying the FCs when their posts were purged, and at the same time keeping the FC list clean. It would be great if we can archive both.

If reset time i would say go with 2 month instead of 20 days. its too short and it will lessen work for mod or thread starter

I don't agree with poll coz the ppl that are concerned about this is already here. the rest have seen us bicker and what not and they are still not here.

Might as well just agree among those that are concerned about this matter and get on with the next problem.
