Hi. I recently applied for an internship with Capital Dynamics after I got to know about the company from my university. They called me for interview within a day or two after I submitted my application, it was my first interview. I received their offer a few days later. What shocked me was they offered me a monthly stipend of RM3k, which was really out of the norm for an intern. I was not sure if it was a scam. I searched on the internet and found negative reviews about the company. I was really frightened and worried that it would be a horrible working environment and I may have to work very long hours or OT every day. In the end, I rejected their offer. Few weeks later, I was informed by my university coordinator that Capital Dynamics would like to have a video call with me and my coordinators to clarify on the matter. I was surprised to see the CEO in the video call, together with his managers. He explained to me and my coordinators the reason why the company offered me such a high stipend, as he thinks that my qualification is already equivalent to a fresh graduate as I have completed all my subjects, which was why he thinks that I deserve a fresh grad pay even though I only applied for an internship. The company was being very ethical and did not want to exploit me as an intern. I feel very bad and regretted for not seeking further clarifications from the company earlier and for believing in the negative reviews in the forums, which turned out to be false and biased. I know students and applicants refer to the forums for reviews of the companies. Hence, I am sharing my personal experience here hoping that it would be a good reference for those of you who wish to join Capital Dynamics, and be wiser when you refer to the reviews from the forums.
