Just subscribed to celcom bb D68 package yesterday. Dissapointed that I can't play ragnarok online private server with it. Apparently, the server rejected my connection. very, very dissapointed with this one. My digi edge didn't cause any trouble to connect. what gives laa.

-Hmm, maybe because the server detected too many connections from one IP address?  rolleyes.gif
Celcom gives a single IP address to be shared between a lot of users (maybe up to hundreds/thousands?).  sweat.gif

My private server has only 23 players online most of the time. I practically know all of them, none of them are using celcom. I'm playing ragnarok online and basically the server uses one ip split among three port. The first port (login map) I can login to, but the second and third (character and map server) port failed my attempt to connect properly.

I tried with 2 other private servers and the same problem persists, albeit a different port number. Spent my whole day finding a way to go around this problem.

Guys, have you tried a different apn other than celcom3g? I've been advised by a network technician to use celcom.net.my in case that my area has excellent coverage. He says that particular apn will allow constant HSDPA connection where available.

After a week using it, I do notice a slight improvement on my connection. It does however changes between hsdpa and umts where coverage aren't so good. I think anyone should give it a try if you're feeling that your connection is below satisfaction.

Also, I'm using a different DNS. I don't recall where I got them, but anyone willing to try are welcome. Its:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

r u sure with dat? bcoz celcom.net.my is bound for GPRS setting...im afraid, if we use celcom.net.my instead of celcom3g da possibility being charged for GPRS services (10cents/10kb) could occur since celcom got system prob on how da GPRS n 3G broadband bills are calculated...

Well I can't guarantee on that. But I can guarantee that I've been using this apn and the speed as well as the modem setting shows that I'm on HSDPA. I think apart from the apn, we should also set the modem to receive only 3g connections.

Again I need to remind that this is highly suitable for those with HSDPA/UMTS reception.
