i dun care about the voice+data plan...
all i care is dat it is REALLY UNLIMITED...
no FUP , dat is what i really aimed for.... whistling.gif

if you want unlimited usage, go for Maxis Mobile Internet (MMI) service.. rm99/month (if im not mistaken) and its truly unlimited (dont get confuse with their Maxis Wireless Broadband, MMI is different plan)

do you call first or checked first,

the fup check site update every 30 minutes...
*
no, i mean when i check my previous month usage.. for example in april i download 3 movie with size approximately 1GB each. so, in logic my volume usage must exceed 3GB, because i use it for internet surfing every day too (with average 150mb daily usage for internet surfing - according to my phone software)..

QUOTE(laichcial @ Jun 3 2009, 10:54 AM)
celcom is trying to being genenrous lo... me too la, im really sure i had exceed 5gb this month already but i check my usage still below 5gb..

good thing la, celcom should continue being like this..
*
maybe their system capture using different methodology.

17.84mbps? are you joking.. hsdpa cannot support that speed, even hspa also cannot offer that speed, only hspa+ can offer speed like that.. but no operator using hspa+ yet in malaysia

Hope that it's just because of congestion.. and not some sort of serious problem  sweat.gif

here in KLCC, since last two or three weeks also experience the same thing, ecspecially after 10am and above (but now at 9am still smooth).

i think the network start to congested again sweat.gif .. my god, it just few month after celcom added additional 4 new pipeline with 10gig per sec speed each one to upgrade their backbone capacity (i read somewhere).

i only face that problem at my office klcc (everyday after 10am) since last two weeks..

but today is holiday, and i surf internet here at my home since last night.. 100% working smoothly.. so like i said ealier, the problem must be becoz of congested network, at high density area..

celcom must be oversell ed their broadband again this time huhu.. another upgrade need to be done again sigh

Yeah. I guess it depends on location  sweat.gif

Ek, not sure... if on 20th floor.. i think the signal should be better, coz almost the same height as the transmitter tower... kinda  sweat.gif
Or i'm wrong  notworthy.gif

33rd floor? how is the connection? got any dc?

nope, everything working fine.. just like on the ground too.

QUOTE(realcheraz @ Jul 7 2009, 02:39 AM)
u r in ur office?maybe covered by indoor anthenna... biggrin.gif
my experience before, at 20th floor, no issue on packet service/data, no dc issue except on voice service/call most of the time will drop since my phone hook onto far site which is not intended to serve my flat. in other words, if u r in tall building, ur reception quality is lower even ur signal strength is good. theoretically, all svc will be degraded, but base on experience this only give little impact on data svc, coz data can be retransmitted if there is any packet error, unlike voice.  rclxms.gif
*
yes, at my office.. full coverage signal (with hsdpa) here. not sure about indoor anthena, but as far as i know there is no celcom transmitter in my office. not sure if they installed it at other floor.

oh, really? because i saw some weird thing on the ceiling with 'maxis' label on it.. i thought that is indoor transmitter for maxis.. not sure if celcom also share the same transmitter

hey, who read Mobile World Magazine (latest issue).. they do a speed test and comparison for all isp includes Celcom, Maxis, Digi, Umobile, and P1 wimax..

the test was conducted at 6 location within klang valley area. they also give the plan/package details for each provider. suprisingly, maxis and celcom still ahead in term of top speed (up to 2.6mbps or to 2.9mbps at certain places), and they also mentioned that they're quite impressed with consistent celcom upload speed (~120kbps) at all places. digi on the other hand, giving top download speed and upload speed at some location, but due to bad coverage they only can get EDGE speed at some area.

the test includes download speed, upload speed, and youtube streaming speed. if i have time, i can scan the result table and upload it here.

i think, anyone who are still looking for a wireless broadband access can buy this magazine for reference purpose..

That speed is before 5GB usage limit?
After 5GB, i think u will get the speed like this, i'm using D68 bdw

[attachmentid=1081000]
*
i always keep complaining about 5gig usage quota before, but when i check my usage at celcom suprisingly i never even reach 3gig. i am pretty sure i use more than that (i check on my phone data monitor log record), weird. because i remember that sometime i download a up to three movie in a month (that already almost 3gig) how come they said i use less that 3gig. but, nevermind.. its a good thing lol.

by the way, for those who feel 5gig is not enough, they can choose other provider.

i student and use D68 now, can i transfer it to student package??
*
nope, you can't!

the only way is to terminate your current account.. and re-register for student plan.

bro, the problem i mentioned above is celcom bb la.. not digi..
however, i had FORSAKE and GIVE UP and FED UP with the bloody celcom BB.. made me pissed off!!
now.. i am a happy Digi BB user.. haha..
*
i hope at least 20% to 30% of current celcom broadband user (ecsp heavy user) switch to digi or other operator, so we all can enjoy better internet speed. celcom currently have to 'feed' almost 300k broadband users nationwide (it almost 60% of the total wireless broadband user in malaysia)

QUOTE(kelvinbadroyal @ Jul 14 2009, 12:27 PM)
but sunway here, celcom bb connection is really a big problem!
download speed is only 4x-5xkbps all the time.. craps!

the download speed up to 2.6-2.9mbps as you mention, is just CERTAIN PLACES, not every place can up to such speed, or are them testing using corporate line?? corporate bb line of cos will be faster than the individual bb line since they are paying more than individual at least 30 bucks ahead.
*
no, they just simply use individual account to do the test.. you should buy the magazine and see the result.. base on the result: yes, at few of the test area they only got 800kbps only sweat.gif
