+1 satisfied celcom broadband user here. i'm on D98 package.

but one thing is, when i subscribed to celcom, my maxis wireless broadband is getting faster day by day, like saying "u'll regret using celcom"

On the other hand, Celcom uses shared IP whereby if someone who uses the same IP address as yours is downloading from these sites, you will not be able to do so unless you hold a premium account for these sites. smile.gif

and yeah, this really iritates me as sometimes i cannot access MSN, YM and even been k-line from IRC due to this 'shared IP' thingy. sigh.

is Maxis have such problem?
*
so far from my 2 years of experience on maxis wireless broadband, i haven't encountered such problems. but the problem with maxis is their speed.

so, either being blocked or being slowed. u choose.

Why don't you ask at Digi bb thread  nod.gif

now it's better after i rest my modem for 10mins.

sweat.gif

wierd. i don't think because of the heat generated by the modem that cause it to be slower.

it should not be the problem by the modem itself..
i used to on my modem for the whole day, but nth wrong with my modem..
maybe its the congestion of network of the area we are at.
between, what modem are you using?
*
Huawei E156G. the black color one.

rrrr...my place usually 3~4 bar HSDPA now 1 bar only..and sometimes none.

modem in full stress mode meaning that it'll get whatever it means to have atleast 1 bar HSDPA thus become so so so so hot. and i had to disconnect once a while in fear that the modem will malfunction due to heat.

what the hell is celcom thinking?

same with me bro..usually at the night, the speed too slow
always disconnect  sad.gif

yup. always disconnect up to 12am. then after that only ok. and weekends are the most annoying ones.

if i were to get a disease due to irregular sleep, i blame celcom for providing irregular speed.

so i guess i'll downgrade my Celcom BB to D68 after this as i'll seldom use it.
