For Plasma/LCD I think their style of quoting prices are the same, my experience is with other appliances, my Hitachi SBS fridge for example. He quoted RM300 above RSP for a RM6.5k fridge, then deduct another RM500 for me. So in the end it is just RM200 cheaper compared to those chainstore, and he even demanded cash term.

In the end I bought it from a big build chinese guy called George I think, at RM1000 savings below RSP.

Nobody's ever gonna let go at that price dude... so you can stop trying.

I have the same problem as well, but I stop using the internal speaker now.

3 yrs is more than enough for me. After 3 yrs gonna change the plasma again.

Just run it loop before you sleep, put in a SD card.

I ran mine 8 hours per day, break in completed in 10 days.

Default normal profile, but decrease contrast from 60 to 50. Brightness at 0.

After proper break-in and tuning, you'll definitely see some difference.

I set that during the first few 30 hours of break in. Then i decrease the contrast cause I feel the display is getting a bit hot at 100.

@ aaronpang, you should buy your mother a X10 as well.

That is why the screen is hard coated and damage/scratch resistant. In case you get too annoyed and started to throw the remote at it.

If there is a bright light behind your plasma, chances are it will be highly noticeable. It is the reflection on the plasma panel itself. Downlights seems ok to me.
