first impression on PL20....
Sounded quite good freshly taken out from the box. This unit doesn't have the harsh treble-mid found on Bijou.

Clarity is there, very detailed on the instruments separation.
Bass, not disappointing as well.

am amazed how good this thing can be on 1st try.... might prefer this to Bijou. tongue.gif

will be burning in for a bit and then update again soon. cool.gif

If this compared with sonic gear earpump, how's the result? Coz i planned to buy earpump, but hesitate after i saw this. Can anyone clarify?

Used both. I would say EarPump <<< PL20. in terms of clarity & SQ.
just add like RM 10 and u can get a way better IEM than SG EP. cool.gif

PL20 + E5 = clarity + bassy.
currently trying this combo listening to Robert Miles "Children". cool.gif

PL20's isolation is nice, the eartip fit just nicely~

PL20 shows significant difference when paired with amp, especially the bass.

Bijou..... to be honest, just slight difference, and perhaps negligible.

OK so I've tested both running on some techno songs, as I think it's the best to hear the bass difference.

Paired with E5, PL20 sounded better in terms of bass, which it's kinda lacked off. Bijou4 + E5 however, don't really sounded significant though.

Clarity part, somehow I'm more incline towards PL20. Maybe is because the eartip I using, but I never really liked Bijou's stock eartips. PL20 uses the M size eartip.

Maybe changing the different eartips might improve the result, but that one need more time to play around with those stuffs....

Hopefully this can help. smile.gif

If i force myself  to listening in critical mode, omg blink.gif
My ear start to choose earphone... then start spend money for more quality and expensive earphone... Then everyday need to eat roti because need spend money to feed my ear.... sweat.gif  sweat.gif

I hav bought soundmagic PL30 but I'm not quite comfotable with this kind of earbud... when i breath, i can also hear the sound... haha rclxub.gif
When listen to music, I can feel the bass is around, nice earphone indeed... rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  as i not a basshead..

Bro ClieOS  cool.gif , mind to ask... if I convert audio cd to mp3... What bit rate will be the best whitout loosing most detail? icon_question.gif
I found that 192kbps will be more treble, and clear mid range detail compare to 128kbps which start produce more bass...
*
the max 320kbps eh? i personally find 256kbps not bad also. hard to differentiate with 320 unless u have great gears to hear the difference.

haha..

pl-50 cost around 2xx...

no money to get it..

btw how about pl-20?

is it d best choice for comfortable and worthy IEM?
*
depends ur taste of music. PL20 works well on the vocals, as the clarity is the main plus point. bass-wise, not so bassy but if u have an amp to play around might be slightly better.
if u're into bass, get PL11.

just bought a pl-20 from ts..

everything good. burning it now.. haha

but 1 question..

i found tat..

d earphone was hard to stuck in my ear..try with all size earbuds d

i think is d soundmagic earbuds problem, d build material o design... duno also..

i felt like my sony S7XX bundled NC earphone is much easier to stuck into my ear..

anyone facing tis problem??

both are silicone eartips but shaped differently. both fits well on my ears but sometimes the MDR-NC020 (Walkman S series' IEM) would still fall off.
besides, the built of the IEM itself does play a part too, as MDR-NC020's slightly senget does help to fit better.
