this is what you have to know. In every airlines(probably as far as i know), if you want to buy a ticket, the return ticket is way more cheaper than a single way ticket. This is common

I just want to complaint about their food.economy food is quite bad from last time. Plus, some of the local stewardess looks like they dont want to layan you compare to the the crew that they hire from other country like japan, italy and buenos aires. really arse hole la our local crew

I used the Airasia recently and i think their service is good except for the lcct. Its really terrible and hardly can see any sign. And yeah, about the food. I still want to complaint about the food. Changed the food. The portion is too small and sometimes its overcooked. This is really bad...

If I use web check in, how many hour do I need to show at departure hall?

the departure get open 30 minutes before the aircraft depart. But you have to know that web check in is mainly for a people who don't have a luggage to put in a cargo. Hope this is clear

i usually wait until they call out my name over the PA system. more glamorous that way.

and when i make a super entrance into the plane, everyone stares at me as if i'm a superstar. spotlight is on me. i love grand entrances, i just wish i had some background theme songs and some gongs to go with it. some pyrotechnics would be great.

haha..do you know when you enter the flight, everyone will cursing on you. Especially the crew. I encounter this before..hehe sweat.gif

Dude, I think now you can compare AirAsia with MAS now because both airlines have a RM0 fair and provide a good facilities to the passenger. Plus, AirAsia now is the best low cost airline in the world. Even though MAS rated as a five star airlines, that doesn't mean they are better that Airasia. In some ways, I think Airasia is better than MAS.

haha...

anyway, i proceed with the booking already. i had to use my bro's card coz mine it keeps on rejecting.. dunno why.

btw, in the ienery that was emailed to me... it was mentioned that
are they strict on this?

well, i booked a ticket for my friend using my credit card two times and surprisingly, they didn't ask for those 2 item above. But just prepared. Who know suddenly his/her mood is not good then they ask for the copy. They just want to clarify the ticket and credit card. That's it.. No big fuss about it

Added on May 25, 2009, 1:49 amHURRY HURRY.Booked a ticket today cause MAS having a lowest fair start today(that's what they said la.Havent compare to any airlines yet)...So,what are u waiting for?

QUOTE(m88 @ Jun 4 2009, 06:38 PM)
I want to highlight that I bought tickets to Paris during their MAS fair in February/09 for travel in September/09. The travel period is also limited to a certain travel period. The terms required me to pay in full upfront and the terms of the ticket cannot be changed and there is no refund.

Now, 3 months later, in the latest MAS promotion, they are selling the same tickets (for the same travel period) for 30% less (no kidding) and I haven't even flown yet.

I understand their need to sell tickets but not at the expense of ripping their commited customers (i.e. offering lower priced tickets for the same travel period. They should have offered the cheaper tickets for different travel periods to avoid clashing with previous offers). Or they could have compensated commited customers with a rebate. They have failed to protect their customers and do not seem to care who they step on to survive. Another case of bad management.

I wrote to them and they seem to blame the agents for overbooking and cancellation and hence they need to sell the tickets now. Hello, what about their customers?!

I think it is a sales gimmick where they seem to offer you cheap tickets at one point in time, forcing people to commit to buy early and pay for them and lock you into their terms and conditions.

Word of advice is not to book your tickets in advance as the idea of booking early to save on ticket prices does not apply with MAS. The later the better as prices on MAS fares declines overtime.

Has anyone else experience this?

i also encounter this problem with MAS and AA before. I was really pissed off but now, i wont booked any flight ticket within 3 month. Maybe I will book 1 month before i depart. The competition is quite strong between AA and MAS. So, they will drop the price like a mad man. I booked a ticket for my aunt 2 month before departure through internet and paid RM2600. But 1 month before departure I checked the price drop ridiculously. Its only RM1900 at that time. I was really pissed off because that time when i bought my aunt ticket, its the promo price. Plus, MAS now have many option. I just booked a ticket from Langkawi to Kul with price RM78 with a "Grab A Deal" but when I tried to check for a normal booking (not grab a deal), its stated RM192.. wow.. so much different. rclxub.gif

I think competition is fair, but not by offering cheaper fares on same terms to new clients on the pretext of competition and screwing your past customers (especially since I have not even flown yet) is not a smart move.  You gain new customers but at the expense of customers who paid more is bad management.

I understand the simple Malaysian mentality of cheaper is better and competition is good.

I won't have minded if I had already flown but I have NOT flown yet and they are offering lower prices for the same travel periods to new customers.

Metaphorically, if I buy a clothing now and paid full price, I have the advantage of using it right away and later it goes on discount, I won't care as I already enjoyed wearing it ahead of every one else.  But in this case I have not even flown yet and they continue dropping the prices and conveniently locking me into their terms and conditions.  This I think is not good practice.  I will definitely think twice of booking with MAS in future given their lack of principles in taking care of their customers.

MAS has poor principles in taking care of their customers here.

well, I think u shouldn't blame MAS only because AA also have the same strategy as MAS. I know how you feel because I, myself encounter this thing many times. What's in our mind at that time is "must book early if not won't get this price" and also the ad showing "book early to get a cheaper price" make all of us think the same way. As an Enrich member, sometimes I get really frustrated when my point didn't count when I booked a cheapest fair. Other that that I think its okay since the service is good and safety is what I really want when I travel.
