anybody knows the LAW in Malaysia regarding refund of Airport-Tax ?
I had to let go my Promotion-fare-flight back on MAS back home to BKK from KUL.
I know there is such kind of law now, and that Air Asia was forced to refund the Airport Taxes (which usually works properly).
now what does MAS do ? they charge you 200 RM (!!!!!) fee for the refund of 51 RM Airport Tax ?
that can not be legal, isn't it ?
they basically STEAL the money that actually belongs to the government (okay, MAS somehow belongs to the government too).
MAS = truly Malingsia

anybody has similar experiences ?

MAS really has become a Budget-Airline these days, the lowest level of service in everything.

their new B-737-800 are cramped with no leg-space, like a sardine-can, much worse than AirAsia.
cheap plastic seats (NO, it's NOT leather as leather is only GENUINE leather), and delays are more frequent than at AirAsia.

Oh, and their Frequent-Flyer-program is easily the most pathetic on this planet......

when they send me their "ENRICH NEWS", it's usually in my mailbox just a few days before the end of the 3-months-period, so all those Promotions there are already gone......

luckily, the skies in Asia became more competitive these days, so there is no need to fly mediocre Airlines, as sadly MAS has become one of them these days..... the only good thing left is that their fares are in many cases cheaper than at AirAsia. Well, as I said, MAS is truely a BUDGET NOR FRILLS - Airline now.....
