imho, ps3 has a better longetivity than xbox 360..both console has their good exclusives..xbox has gow and halo while ps 3 has more atm..but it doesn't mean that xbox won't come up with good games..currently, ps 3 has been pressured to lower down their price by the publisher..if sony didn't want to lower down the price..it is likely more games are going to be developed for xbox and wii..but this is my speculation so far..

ps 3 can play blu-ray..yea, there is no doubt about that..but currently blu-ray is still not as common as dvd yet..at least it is not used as the mainstream media unless by those who can afford it..when blu ray become more common, i believe you can get a blu-ray player on its own for a better price..also, with the announcement of onlive..it is already shown that the future trend of gaming is more towards DLC..so there is still uncertainty whether blu-ray is going to be the mainstream media for console games in coming years..

on the other hand, atm, it is only recommended to get xbox if you like to play online with your console game, both xbox exclusives, i haven't tried halo yet because i dislike halo for some weird reasons..then as for gow, gow 1 is good but you can play it on pc as well..gow 2 has a short single player campaign which lasts about 4-5 hours assuming if you didn't die too much..however, xbox live is more stable than psn despite of the fact that you need to pay monthly for xbox live while you can play psn for free atm..sony has begin to charge the publisher for every 1G of DLC downloaded by the user..so most publisher are unhappy. Hence, i predict that in the future, there is likely more DLC on xbox than PSN..

ok..generally, you like to watch blu-ray movie and play offline games..ps 3 is the way to go..if you like to play online consoles with your friends..and prefer to get a cheaper console at the risk of getting 3ROD (xbox is known for its low durability)..then get xbox 360..but you can get most xbox 360 games on pc platform as well..

personally, i would like to wait until E3 for any future news on gaming before making my decision but atm, i would prefer ps 3 as i think it is still a good investment despite of its downside..and it has more upcoming good exclusives..as long as you are willing to spend the money on it..
