Sigh. I am having a dilemma choosing between PS3 or XBOX360? Can somebody roughly explain to me the PROS and CONS of each console?

1. u have dilemma which one u wanted to buy
2. means u dont have console yet
3. why did u post a WTB DS3 controller in PS3 garage while u dont even have a ps3 and have dilemma which 1 to buy.
4. at 3 PM u already posted a topic that u are looking for a PS3.
5. u also posted in a few shops in garage sales that u are interested in NBA2K9 for PS3.

now, the first thing i wanna ask, why u have that dilemma when u already thingking of buying a ps3.
what makes u change ur mind. that's all.

reason to dad? ps3 is a home entertainment machine la....can play games, surf net, watch bluray movies, photo gallery etc....what more do u need??

What makes me have second thought is that the shop staff that sells the console ask me to go for XBOX360 because of the games which you can purchase for very cheap. And my dad being gullible listen to him so now i am confuse of which to get! And he also say that the graphic is almost the same.

I'm gonna sum it up for you,but in the end you'll still have to make up your own mind.

PS3 is a powerful machine that surpasses the Xbox's specs,unfortunately it's using a new CPU that not many game developers are used to,leading to very glitchy ports(Orange Box,anyone?)
However,when it comes to exclusives like Killzone 2,it never ceases to amaze,with its graphics and great gameplay.
Unfortuantely,the biggest downside is the online network,PSN,which can't be compared to Xbox Live at all(note,I'm basing this on my PS3 experiences from about 2 years ago).You can surf the web and all,but you can't see what your friends are up to or join whatever game they're in,and instead have to organize a gaming schedule manually.Also,DLC is region protected,meaning if you get a game from America,you need an American credit card.

Xbox 360 in my opinion is the best console ever,if it can function well.Its failure rate is really high,and once you get struck by the 3 Red Rings of Death,you're totally screwed unless you get through Microsoft's horrid Customer Support system.It will take forever to get your console back.
Also,you actually have to PAY to play online.Although it only costs a little more than buying on ori game a year(which you SHOULD be doing anyway,and more often than that),it seems like a rip off.You're paying for what you do for free on other systems and on PC games.

So it's up to you.Powerhouse or online community.
