Sigh. I am having a dilemma choosing between PS3 or XBOX360? Can somebody roughly explain to me the PROS and CONS of each console?

1. u have dilemma which one u wanted to buy
2. means u dont have console yet
3. why did u post a WTB DS3 controller in PS3 garage while u dont even have a ps3 and have dilemma which 1 to buy.
4. at 3 PM u already posted a topic that u are looking for a PS3.
5. u also posted in a few shops in garage sales that u are interested in NBA2K9 for PS3.

now, the first thing i wanna ask, why u have that dilemma when u already thingking of buying a ps3.
what makes u change ur mind. that's all.

reason to dad? ps3 is a home entertainment machine la....can play games, surf net, watch bluray movies, photo gallery etc....what more do u need??

What makes me have second thought is that the shop staff that sells the console ask me to go for XBOX360 because of the games which you can purchase for very cheap. And my dad being gullible listen to him so now i am confuse of which to get! And he also say that the graphic is almost the same.

I'm gonna sum it up for you,but in the end you'll still have to make up your own mind.

PS3 is a powerful machine that surpasses the Xbox's specs,unfortunately it's using a new CPU that not many game developers are used to,leading to very glitchy ports(Orange Box,anyone?)
However,when it comes to exclusives like Killzone 2,it never ceases to amaze,with its graphics and great gameplay.
Unfortuantely,the biggest downside is the online network,PSN,which can't be compared to Xbox Live at all(note,I'm basing this on my PS3 experiences from about 2 years ago).You can surf the web and all,but you can't see what your friends are up to or join whatever game they're in,and instead have to organize a gaming schedule manually.Also,DLC is region protected,meaning if you get a game from America,you need an American credit card.

Xbox 360 in my opinion is the best console ever,if it can function well.Its failure rate is really high,and once you get struck by the 3 Red Rings of Death,you're totally screwed unless you get through Microsoft's horrid Customer Support system.It will take forever to get your console back.
Also,you actually have to PAY to play online.Although it only costs a little more than buying on ori game a year(which you SHOULD be doing anyway,and more often than that),it seems like a rip off.You're paying for what you do for free on other systems and on PC games.

So it's up to you.Powerhouse or online community.

but i do believe , if you playing videogames and the source of money from your parents 100% , dont buy PS3...cause the games are expensive..unless your parents willing to buy the games which is 100++ per/games.

in this situation better go for Xbox360...cause u can find jacksparrow version around rm8 per.piece

U need to know what games u like b4 buying a console,dont just buy bcos people say that ps3 is good,i bought a ps3 bcos i tot its hardware is trouble free (i was wrong), but the fact i wanted to play gears of war so badly ended up i din enjoy my ps3 dat much bcos at that time there were very few tittles for the ps3 in the end i got myself a jasper set and now my xbox is switched on more often than my ps3 ,my ps3 is on only for sf4 and GT5.


Im not a PS3 fanboy nor a xbox fanboy ,i love both my consoles.

FPS on the xbox is as good as playing on the pc,but to play SF4 on the xbox is kinda impossible for me

oh...im noobie lor..using analog...i dunno y d-pad more harder to make skill for me...

I have familiarized my self with the analog stick since SF: HD remix, no problems with character like Ryu, Ken, Sakura, Blanka and EHonda etc.
I only have issues with 2 characters, doing a perfect circle with Zangif and Akuma's ultra combo.

The Xbox controller isn't perfect for SF4, but there's plenty of third party controller/fight stick out there.

and also IBM developed the Xenon CPU at around the same time with Cell BE, that's why xbox CPU can be called as Cell derivative, just instructions set difference

Xbox360 CPU have 3 physical core where the Cell broadband cpu have 7 logical cores so the cell isnt all that powerful physical vs logical,remember the Hyper threading days of P4
