micro genius console my first game console...it expensive those days..

mine was a sad case:

i remember back in the days i wanted so bad of those DR DISkPRo or something, can't remember what it is called.Its the thing you hook on to the SNES using diskettes instead of catridges. So my friend have one and the market price was around rm800+ that time, he was willing to sell me for around 700+, can u imagine how expensive rm800 was during the snes era? i didn't have any money so one day i found a stash of foreign currency belonging to my parents and i stole it. It has currency of over 30 countries from their travelling around the world. I even had a few 100 pounds corrency and imagine it was one stash of different country currency. I didnt know how much there was and i didnt know where to exhange it to rm so i approached my friend, he said he was able to exchange it for me. So i pass the stash to him and he refunded me around rm200+. I was really naive that time, i got the dr disk or whatever u call it but what i didnt realise is i might have lost my parent's couple thousand ringgit worth of money or unreplacable "traveling memorabilia". I still remember my mum use to ask "did u see the stash of foreign currency here?" i denied ever see-ing it. I never told them the truth and they never know till this day.

Now i'm a grown up i feel sooooooooooooooooooooo bad about it. I feel like crying. If i ever see this friend of mine again i'd punch him square in the face.

I'm soooooooooooooooooo sorry i was only 13 that time. sorrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Same tactics use to con customer in Sg. Wang. If not adapter, they'll use modchip, bootdisk to chatge extra to the customer.


Must the the fatty working in the same shop with the infamous "Chinese speaking Indian guy". Last time they owned a couple of game shops in Sg. Wang. But last time when i went there they closed most of their shops and move to a shop at the upper level and all cramp to a small counter with the fatty taking most of the space in the counter. I was like Good news maybe, coz from what I heard the upper level rent is cheaper then the lower level. Maybe they'll close their shop soon.

Really "nice" story u all got here. I have a story but not mine. My friend is
studying in France and one of his professor went to Italy if I'm not mistaken. His professor's husband bought a kind of fancy camera at a shop but the shop owner asked him to not open the camera box. They went back to their hotel and the fun part is there is only rock in the box. Her husband was afraid to go back to the shop but thank God she was brave enough to go back to the shop and get back their money.

as far as i know today (not like 8 mths ago), a korean mod set is a korean mod set...probably instead of a PAL switched region, they give you a NTSC switched region...and if you know how to work around things...it can be done without the additional rm250 i've paid out...in addition to a faulty battery pack as well that i paid for rm 80 (which doesn't really hold its charge even with a 3600mah power source)
of course, with homebrew...you can play like almost all region games, right?lolz

a side story also, just happened like 2 weeks ago till today
bought a handphone at sungei wang (this wretched place again)...a k770i (at a price of rm480)...found that it has a faulty battery hold (it drains battery charge like drinking water, on standby mode, 50% of it charge goes away after 7 hours)...so i decided to change it to a newer model today (27th august 2009)...i got a w890 for rm580...(an additional rm100)...but upon further research...the price is about rm 500+ (around rm 550 at most), and it comes with a 2gig memory card...what i have is the 512mb memory card (from the k770i phone)...which is a 2nd hand card and i must say that i didn't mind much about it before...but a 512mb with a 2 gig memory card and a much higher than market priced phone...now...that is some con job around there...zzz

Last time which around early 2009 my sis wanted to get a new wii for herself so decides which place is cheaper and good reliability services so I pick either choice which is in 1 utama or sunway pyramid. so I pick the destination 1st is 1 utama i usually start surveying upper floor opposite TGV sells a game consoles but funny thing they charge weird price if come in whole set it charge around RM1200 and excluded adapter so I had fishy about that price but worse thing beside MCD charge bloodie expensive is like extra Rm 200 for no reason.

Then I decided to move 2nd location is sunway pyramid when we arrived at game shop is upper floor I guess opposite of IT store cant remember a name but has been renovated a new shop which I never heard but not sure wether own same owner shop as before so I asked fello ah beng guy how much is the wii price and he say is somewhere around RM900 for whole console set and comes with korea wii box the mod chip switch into english channel able to understand then I say ok but he told me I have to get a new adapter for wii coz the adapter voltage is different compare to malaysia then I say ok another extra RM200 so total cost is RM 1200 or 1100 something, plus edition with wii controls which cost around RM 200 but When i found on survey price supposedly average Rm 160... after I found out before we bought it, so total cost around RM 2500 I guess if i am not miss calculation bought 3 wii controls+wii fit and guitar rock band total amount. After we left sunway we decided play few games then when we wanted to play wii sports something was not right.... the consoles no problem but 1 big problem is the Mii character channel is missing is like WTF.

The next day I quickly send the wii to shop owner asking why there's no Mii channel.. Another ah beng say he not sure and I would be expecting that ah beng had low customer service . so I asked ah beng contact boss and he told me charge me RM 200 to get A mii channel back. I am so mad why that seller never told me there's no mii channel and charge me ridiculous price I ask idiot boss can give cheaper and he say no cheaper but guarantee fix price, looks like I came wrong shop but con my money so I called my sis and we really had not choice have to pay to them RM 200 after they done. After came back from my college asking help forum to urge luckily a person suggest me to go somewhere pudu jalan and told me is free no charge guarantee then I feel so relief and quickly get back wii before they install channel. I called back that stupid boss I need to get it back my Wii without any fixing on mii channel then suddenly boss charge me cheaper from 200 to 150 I expected he really want con my money then I told him no just dont fix and return it back. I always demand when wii will be arrive and told me he's in KL currently doing some business and ask me come back at 1 pm and I say Ok better be sure arrive, after a while I asked again when wii will arrived another 1 more hour then 2 hours then again 3 hours i feel awkward walking around in shopping more than 5 hours just to eagerly get it back. I approach stupid boss but he didn't call me when he's around in sunway is like wasted my time and wasted precious so quickly get it back and ciao I never forget cheated us for stupid channel price.... So finally I got a mii channel with no charge

well, the mii channel can't be gone as far as i know...i had the experience of it saying that the channel can't be used..and i asked the shop is there any way to fix this...they said no...i was like...really?...i'll look it through the net...and i became not bad at getting wii stuffs from then on...haha

The sunway shop one sux so much... Last time I saw them displaying a ps2 game called "Indigo Prophecy" or "Fahrenheit", I approached them and asked got sell ps2 games or not, they said no... then i asked what's that you displaying, isn't that a ps2 game. he said yeah right that's a DEMO... what demo... if not ps2 games dun display ps2 game demo...

I PRETTY SURE THAT IS AHEMM PS2 GAME HE WAS DISPLAYING BACK THEN, BUT HE'S SO PRETENTIOUS, SAID IT'S DEMO...DEMO MY AXX!

The one opposite of the Digital/IT Center entrance, easy to spot cuz they are like the only shop selling games there (on that floor and outside IT center)

dun think u can find ps2 games there anymore, now i think they only sell wii, ps3, and xbox (plus the games of each console). Expect them to give u a con price when first approach

I saja2 enquire about PSP, they give me the price of Rm700, and then i said ok. Suddenly they told me i need to pay extra RM150 for mod and games. I told them im not gonna mod it coz i have ori games at home. And then the ah beng told me, if i dun mod, i also cannot play ori games, now all PSP like that wan. Wow!

that shop ? they used to have one smaller lot downstairs also . then they also had one branch in subang parade co shared with and electrical shop before it closed down .

almost got conned buying a used stepdown adapter (240v-110)when buying my dsi (Us ver) there . lol .that time the shop was cheaper then play-asia . lol .

btw the shop name is Genius Game Enterprise . though i am thinking the other in the asian avenue inside there also under them .lol
