i want to warn u guys about leather pouches that uses the clamps to hold your PDA as seen in the post above. After a while the clamps can easily become lose, and not grip your pda as tightly. as a result, u can hold your pouch and your pda can slip out of the pouch and fall on the floor. Thats how i shattered the pda screen of my Dopod D810.

best leather pouches are always the slip in kind

i recommend piel frama if u want something that will last u forever. around 200 bucks. cant go wrong with that, ever. krussel is also slip in but its quality is much inferior, doesnt feel posh at all. also its thick. piel frama is solid, dependable, good workmanship, good stitching quality also.

your main worry would be the keyboard, and the G sensor. check both

regarding paint peeling and cracking, mostly issues with silver Xperia

GBA emulation is not very good as yet, matter of fact Playstation emulation is better (but some games cannot play due to bad framerate, best bet is turnbased strategy such as Final Fantasy Tactics. Frame skip 3 works like a bomb. finished entire game on my Touch Pro)
