Just finished flashing my X1 to v5.04. Got stuck at the flashing process as it always fails at 0%. I flashed HardSPL and it works flawlessly till 100%. Now still waiting for it to synchronize back to my Exchange server

hi gurl, from my point of view.. this is da best PDA around.. really.. this is no jokes, XPERIA is not a normal SonyEricsson, SE P1 almost no even match to Xperia.. so, please do take a demo set at SE centre.. have a try 1..

i cant expect da phone to be the stablest phone like normal SE phone do.. but, sometimes, it really hung.. or small problem may occur..

Besides, as PDA, u must always flash to newest rom, either 3rd party or official rom.. to ensure the stablest operation for PDA.

as conclusion, this is best PDA, but without G-sensor... everything else.. really nice to use..

haha.. so lucky u r.. so lucky havnt brick your device.. i didnt tried it yet.. mean flash rom without hard-spl...

As far as i know, flashing rom without hardspl wont brick your phone, just it wont be able to flash. Anyway, havent tried flashing without hardspl (custom rom ofcourse). Always hardspl 1st.

anyways, has anyone noticed when taking pictures indoor the x1's camera has a hard time getting a good focus? my pics were so damn blurry.. i tried tweaking wit all the focus options and also the flash, but the pics still get blurry? im using the R3A camera.cab. daytime pics were awesome though.

is there a problem with my cam software? is there a way i can revert back to the older R1A or R2A rom cameras? other than flashing tht is.

Yup, from what I have tried it seems that flashing to 3rd party ROM is not possible without going through HardSPL first.

2nd day on TouchIT v5.04, brief review as follow:
+ Nice interface (Touch Flow)
- Lags when switch to/ switch back from landscape mode
- Buggy. You'll see some weird color when you swipe your finger sideways when you are typing a sms.
- resource hogger. Touch Flow alone takes up 100MB+ of resource.

I'll keep it with me till R3AA comes out. Overall not really satisfied with the v5.04.

Maybe you shook a little? The problem with X1 camera is that, it's really sensitive to movement, and it's very easy to create movement during shooting.

Apart from that, how do you all solve the problem of the spacebar in X1? It seems that sometimes I press the spacebar, 2 spacebar will come out instead of 1. Pressing the middle seems to solve the problem but it's kinda hard to aim directly at the middle when you're typing fast.

Touch-IT v5.04 resource hogging is a good way to go.. why we put so much free ram into a slow device.. why dont u load everything in da start, then use up da ram, but get a faster device?

Touch-IT v5.04, doesnt load everything on start.. but as soon as u launch da opera browser, it will keep it in ram.. so that, next time, u start it.. it is instantly shown. while, afta u go to Music/Photo tab.. HTC album/HTC audio manager will launch, and load it into our ram.. n tat da reason why.. i still recommend to use 3rd party photo viewer and music player..

overall, i like it to resource hogging...

besides, when typing quite fast.. i got no problem with space b4.. or, i doesnt realize.. next time i post here via my xperia.. see u all can check out my typo of space o not a.. i didnt realized xperia got so much problem to u all.. haha..

Yes, you will, mate. But you can back it up on outlook or you can use an application such as SPB backup, Sprite backup or Resco backup.

Currently flashing my wife experia to Jack 3.3 med.
I kind of like this ROM. Stable and fast. Other program I just add my own. I'll probably will stay with this untill some other good rom is out.
Going to try to taking videos and pic at F1 today and tomorrow, never tried the camera before.

it seems a cool apps duhh..

It doesn't comes free... I tried it once and removed it after few days.

Reason is because X1 has only 2 buttons to customize (left and right soft keys). You will lose either 1 to configure it for Voice Command.

Overall it is a cool feature but there are many drawbacks:
1. You can't use handsfree to activate voice command.
2. Lose out 1 soft key
3. You will be damn embarassed if you forgot to disable it to annouce emails/sms... trust me, my gf sent me something "stupid" and my phone announced it in the middle of a meeting
