im not so sure thou... but sometimes some rom nid to have latest radio to work properly.

so i still recommend to flash radio too...

So before i start to flash the Jack ver3.3, I need to reconfirm few things:
1. HardSPL first
2. Flash the ROM using microSD method

What else do i need to download and install beside that?
If i do the step 1&2 without flash radio, is it ok?
Do i need to do the SDconfig by Jack?
Do i need to install any other panels?

SDconfig is to make sure your storage card is the right format before you could flash the ROM using MicroSD method.

And no, flashing Radio is not necessary unless you find problems with your radio while using the new ROM.

which mean it can recover ur registry settings o owner infor o even auto install some cab file for u.

but sdconfig is a tool tat help u build the UC list.

Ah, my apologies, confused it up with another software which is also called SD Config which formats your card because some Windows can't do it.

Just noticed that Jack's UC package is also called SD Config.

it will hav a default list. u can edit it urself. but by default it works well enuf..

Cannot leh, I'm using *ehem* version, so you understand lah.

The problem with Jack's ROM full is that it uses too much RAM, at least on my phone. Most of the time it stretches out to 150/200 M which means 75% usage.

That's insane!

Maybe I should try TouchX instead. Version 9 is confirmed stable right?

r u serious? that really insane.. i tot jack's rom quite stable. (at least for previous release).. no matter how.. 2mr i going outstation. nid some stable rom for fast gps navigation n nothing else. oh yeah, of caz google search is needed.

i think so.. touch x version 9 should b ok.. but everytime smaberg said his rom very fast. tat mean he optimise for less ram usage, less junk in memory all the time. i feel like very buggy for those ram eater application. like the ram is not available to the application n make them hung quite often.

that is my experience on touch x 10 thou..

Yes, Jack's ROM is surprisingly very stable and fast, even while using so much RAM.

The only problem of using so much RAM is that I cannot multitask much. Not that I always multitask, but it would be quite annoying if I wanted to use it at that instant.
