QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Mar 29 2009, 11:09 AM) oo .. the subjects need in horizontal line la .. no other option? i tried on my 50 f1.4, snape 4 friends but 2 of them are blur .. wonder if we can set multiple focus point .. u are required to read in depth bout apperture.... u wan them to be clear? use F5.6, it the apperture kacau kacau, because at F2 below, more then 3 ppl, they easily prone to blur, or u arrange ur friend really well, snap picture them by (imagine the line) within the DoF line. multi focus, can, use life view, wide AF, P mode, (ur camera will auto adjust to F4-F5.6 to shoot anyway... |

QUOTE(benzee @ Mar 31 2009, 12:52 AM) Hello there, hi~ u wont go wrong with A300, the pathfinder is smaller, but, honestly, after 2-3 month of uses, u get use to it, u partly ignore the pathfinder to compose (use ur head to compose).I will like to ask a few questions from all the sifu have been using Sony's Alpha DSLR for quite some times. Is the price quoted at the first page is the latest? Where can I get the camera that you listed the price? You can PM me the location fi there is any problem I was thinking getting A300 but don't know whether should go for the twin lens or just a single lens will do. If go with the single lens will you recommend me to get the SAL75300 75mm-300mm? I'm a beginner here upgrading from point and shoot to DSLR. and, i think u got a little confuse with the A200 has better grip because all three A200-300-350 has the excate same body chasis design, just the A300-350 LCD design is tilt-able (And a switch for live view, and live view cropzoom) 55-200 IMHO is better then 75-300, even 75-300 is not excate at 300, around 270, but the range, no diff, u can crop out 10mp of 55-200 still enough to maintain the quality of the photo. |

FYI,
Maxtor Basic External HDD< 1TB, only RM355 at LowYat Plaza. it's never worth it to buy enclosure + hdd, coz it cost a lot for a good enclosure. |

50mm is good because,
it is the cheapest(i think) prime lens, with able to wide OPEN the apperture, to have very shallow DoF, creating nice bokeh for Potraiture, low light shooting, and cover simple indoor events, product shooting and ermm more... lol btw, because it was prime, the sharpness is there, sweet spot. just say, the most affordable low light + uber bokeh + indoor event lens |

QUOTE(chiggy @ Apr 3 2009, 09:35 AM) yo, well, i have a little disagree with that. that is old term of portraiture, new term for those are called 'head-shots' usually used for portfolio stars, artist, etc, as i am doing this weekend for halo cafe (20 over singers)portraiture has been evolve so much since the introduction of prime lens and digital ages coming in, and the 'art of portraiture' has changed... some portraiture can be taken of a whole landscape with a tiny "model" at one edge. eye contact is not a must for good potraiture, for example, google strobist or creative lighting's portraiture, u notice a lot good portraiture or headshoot not necessary made eye contact my 2cent. |
