if still insist WC ur SG01 go with :
- apogee drive + 160(80x2) black ice micro
- chop 2 80 mm fan hole on case cover directly above GC part
- make a frame 2 mount the rad and fan above GC...can cool GC 1 shot as well

dun hav an actual SG01 to play with...just my assumptions judging 4rm pics and dimension alone.

bro volt, i don't no how's geminIIs / geminII hsf on passive, coz i don't own them lol but AXP i can give u some avg temps

yesterday i did try passive cool my proc, after i remove the 12mm thickness fan, idle temps are 2~4c diff with the fan, but when comes to load, is around 5~8c diff compare with a 12mm fan include.

No cutting on the outside. I'll just keep the casing as stock as possible. Anyway, I've done with tht support rail.

Now...time to choose a decent cooler. I'm looking @ CM GeminIIS or Xigmatek HDT-S963. Any suggestion ?

Yup. With tht rail off...I got more option. I'm running an Asus P5N7A with a large chipset HS. Cooler will nid a clearance of 33mm to be on a safe side.

Darn...Intel. I was running an X2 4000 before this clocking 2.5 GHz with stock cooler & it was fine. Now this E8400 is hot.

any itx based or micro-ATX based SFF casing to recommend ?

planning to built a simple file station with Atom 330 in it. Currently running it on chapalang ATX casing. Looking f/w to buy a SFF casing for it... budget around rm400.

hmm , i oso lazy to do research , guys, recomend me a HTPC casing (AV receiver alike) , dun wan cube casing   budget less than 350 .

ur fan will only move at 100% if its get 100% air frm the other parts. (its not ur heat sink fan problem, its ur air ventilation problem) in ur case, it is obvious theres smething is blocking the air flow.

if u open 50%, the air will ruch in 50% & the fan also will move at 50%.
