and also view count problem in asset publisher portlet. this problem occur since 5.1.1 ver.
looks like they solve the problems.

i didn't test it yet about user group, i think it is a bug. i will let u know later.

freelance? bagus jugak, bleh cari duit lebih.
but i'm not java expert. but developing portal is my favourite biggrin.gif.
so far i never develop a porlet. im just customizing liferay portal n portlet.

btw u should mpire too.

hi calmshot,
maybe u need play model user i think. i think creating portlet in ext much more easier than plugin sdk. if u thinking to deploy to muptiple portal, plugin sdk is better.

for me is the community function where u can create multiple site for each community.

Because currently i'm doing project for an organization which have multi department, and each department can have their own site/portal. So this community function is the core for this project.

Second, is the personalization and drag and drop (igoogle style). every time I do a presentation to my client, when I show this function, they all like "Wow". hahaha

third, of course the standard portlet support (jsr168 and jsr268), easy for me to do some integration with other application.

Other, out of the box prebuilt portlet such as forum, blog, web content really make my life easy tongue.gif

one more requirement from my client is web hit analysis, liferay dont have that function, but after google around, i've found Piwik, the function and gui just like google analytic. You can see in the image, i use the Piwik graph plugin and embed it in the portal. look pretty neat  nod.gif
*
another tool u can use is woopra. u can refer it here.
CODE
http://www.liferay.com/c/blogs/find_entry?entryId=2724291

so far i know liferay use google analytic and all u to do is just key in google analytic id.
btw thanks for the info.
for media files, i think u should try searching to liferay forum.

Added on June 10, 2009, 4:38 pmguys, i need 1 more help, how to use asset publisher so that the link behaviour for abstract will open the full content in maximized mode.

I can do this with web content list portlet but i need to use asset publisher abstract capability to show latest news.
*
calmshot, u can try add this code to asset publisher portlet (display_abstract.jsp).
CODE
articleURL.setWindowState(WindowState.MAXIMIZED);
