Pimples must be treated in 2 steps.

The first step is during the inflammatory phase, where you need to apply/consume things to reduce the inflammatory.

The second steps comes in after the inflammatory phase, in which collagen stimulation and black spot reducing creams are applied gradually on the surface of the skin.

Personally, if you have done the first step correctly, there wont be any scars or blackspot, or it'll almost be invisible.

I usually dont use anything to treat my acne, but if I do, I'd use Akneles (Product by Bangkok Botanica Co., LTD.) on the 1st phase.
I'll use Preme C Plus to reduce the black spot on the 2nd phase if required.

have you tried any cream to heal your acne and scaring before? if yes, did it work? I bought Vitamin E oil from guardian recently.. and currently using it to heal my scars and to prevent wrinkles blush.gif .. not sure if the product is good. I have scars and acne on my face at the same time, so I don't know whether I could mix the Vitamin E oil for scars and acne medicine together and apply. Any suggestion out there? thanks in advance =)

On medical basis, there has yet to be any official medical analysis that Vitamin E helps to reduce scars (regardless of the fact that Oral Vitamin E stimulates the hormone). Vitamin E had been known to nourish and moisturize the skin, and some companies had applied the tech to mix Aleo Vera and Jojoba oil to advertise the product as a scar healer cream.

I really dont advise into mixing a Vitamin E (in an oil form) and applying it on you face to cure acne. It'll cause more oils, thus more acne. Erm, though, I've never tried it before, but a friend once mentioned that honey solution helps with her acne problem.

Although not directly in use to cure acne scars, you might want to try Hirudoid Mild (directly for the face).

Do remember to avoid eating too many chocolates or milks, they're one source to acne.

Hope it helps smile.gif

umm....tried honey before, my face itches.
acne/pimples should be treated with care.
No one taught me how to take care of my skin when I was younger, and most beauticians would always recommend their products, saying their products always better. but not always true. now i always follow the 3 steps below....like what clinique advocates in their ads.
1.cleanse.
2.tone.
3.moisturise.
do home facial one or two times a week to reduce inflammation.
there are so many products in the market, which one to choose? u may ask. i think u just have to try which one suits u. i tried using the brand simple (supposedly for sensitive skin oso can use) but my face also itch.
avoiding fried foods does help.
eating chocolate does not cause pimples.

You mention that you are in your early 20's? Why don't you try going for chemical peel. Don't go to the beauty salon, go to the clinic one where the doctor handles the facial for you. Since you only have light scars, the chemical peel its quite enough, no need to go for laser.

I tried neostrata (sp?) it worked fine on me. I wanted to continue to improve my pores and scars but I'm not familiar with KL clinics. I did mine when I was back in KK. Any gals out there have any idea?

You can try Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin Clearing Treatment if you're in KL... it's RM130 in a squeeze tube.

I bought it because it supposedly can lighten old acne scars... which it did for me.

Hi hi gals smile.gif

I have been having problems with acne/pimples for the past 14 years, and i've tried almost ALL of the products/treatments/medicines U can possibly think of out there but I'm very happy to say that in the recent six months, my face is now clear and radiant!!

For those of you who suffer from oily skin, please try HIMALAYA MUD PACK (found at Guardian/Watson pharmacies). It's actually a herbal mask that contains natural ayurvedic ingredients. It helps to reduce the oil your face produces, and prevents new pimples from coming out! It's not too expensive either...so it won't put a hole in your pocket! tongue.gif

The other thing for the SCARS is that I use GARDEN OF EDEN NATUR E serum~~!! rclxms.gif It is 100% natural and really works to lighten scars.... but you must be patient and use it every morning and evening. It helped to make my skin feel softer, and also more radiant (I had dull skin before). Just a little bit of oil every morning and evening ... and massage on the acne scars....

You can purchase this GARDEN OF EDEN NATUR E serum from any GUARDIAN pharmacy.... and there's other ranges of Garden of Eden stuffs also that I now try... I use their cleanser and toner and other kinds of serum!

Please try this and see if it works for you! biggrin.gif ~*~* Hoping that every girl out there will have a pretty face that will radiate from within! smile.gif

Most people will say that most acne medications out there in the market won't work for their skin. Why? Because they apply too much and too soon which makes their skin irritated by such application.

And the fact that more acne spots popping out after a day or two of initial application makes them think that the acne medications that they try are indeed not suitable for their skin.

The thing that they don't realize is the acne that is popping out of their skin is on its way to reach the surface; whether you apply any acne treatment or not, it will be popping out sooner or later. Please be informed that acne spot take about a week to develop and appear on the skin surface.

And also one will normally get more acne lesions popping out during the initial phase of trying a new acne medication as the medication are driving the existing acne that lies beneath the skin to the skin surface. It is actually CLEARing your skin.

You just got to give it time ( 4 to 6 weeks) and patience (don't give up so soon - after a couple of days) to judge whether a new acne medication is suitable for your skin or not.

I only know abit more bout preventing MORE acne..Hope it helps..
Try to avoid "whitening" product be it cleanser, toner, moisturiser or mask care when treating acne.
You can try Monrose purifying lotion..expensive..
or Dermedex..challenged pack only rm22.
Big bottle for biotox cleanser rm118, refining cream is rm138.
But you can pm those sellers for better price..you get wat i'm trying to
tell you?? ^^

Flowerhorn, I agree with you.
They take 7 days to get ripen..
I find oxy pimplegel too strong. it can actually make my skin ( pimple area) thinned!!! Significantly two toned!!!! i would never support oxy again....(TT).

Try get a beautician to see how congested your face is..
Get a facial every two weeks is a good way to keep the skin frm being too congested. Acne prone skin should avoid sleeping pack and very deep moisturising product. They are too nourishing for pimples!!!!
Avoid " creamy" product. and dont wash your face more than 3 times daily. always keep your face hydrated..a simple sheet mask will
help. We only need "surface" moisturised..not deep deep inside.

Hi everyone out there.. I am new in using all these stuff.

I am a person with oily skin type. Currently, I have small pimples around my cheek & a few scars on my face already. I'm in my early 20s.
So just a few question I would like to know which product brands are good & suitable for my skin type & which Product Brands are NOT effective. Thanks in advance.
BTW, did anyone tried Vitamin E oil for scar removal out there?? is the product effective? if yes, how long it takes for the scar to reduce or can it fade away completely? I have light scars around my cheek and some is still radish ><

hi llmaelynn87, i used to have the same problem like u too.. till i started using Bruno vassari skincare product. it is a product from spain, barcelona. and it works effectively especially on acne-prone/oily/combination skin. if u r interested i can get it for u with 10% discount. and for ur information, before i started using bruno vassari, i tried lotsa products too..like biotherm, dermalogica...it doesnt really help tho..
and regarding ur scar...all i can advise u is to do lotsa mask at home..especially those deep-cleansing mask..but dont overdo it as it will dry out ur skin..u can also opt for whitening mask as well..smile.gif it wont totally fade away ur scar..but it will definitely lighten the scar..and beware of ur food intake as well...if u really want to see the result..u shud avoid oily food for sure...and lotsa veggies will do wonder to ur skin.. smile.gif

My advise is never never go for Acne Glycol Peel. It gives you super sensitive skin and you gotta stay out of sun for a very long... long time.

Hi

Try Dermedex. It has a trial pack (cleanser n cream), cost about M$24 more or less, last u 1 week to 10days(depending on yr usage).
I have little bumps on my forehead, black and white heads all around. Miracle happened after 2-3 days of use, I found my bumps getting smoothened out. 2 months of usage, never get a single pimple. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Just introduced to a friend and she is so grateful for it. Good thing is that it has a trial pack for trial instead of us paying 100+ for a product and ended up finding it has no effect.

U can goggle the website and find a nearby stockist for it. rclxms.gif

Good luck!
