Even if it doesn't hit as we expect, and we spent a lot of moneyflies.gif and effort inside, spending nights discussing and calculating, we did learn a lot of how things/mechanisms work. Every detail needs to be taken care of. I promise I can do a better looking amp next time, and reduced cost, more functionality. Just hoping others could support. notworthy.gif

QUOTE(ah liew @ Mar 22 2009, 02:07 PM)
what kind of headset shall we use it on this amp?
*
From small IEM, to high ohm headphone Sennheiser HD650, which matches darn well. Btw, it has a gain button though. Tested it on 600ohm Beyer DT880 it still sounds fairly 'listenable'.

QUOTE(64bit @ Mar 22 2009, 09:41 PM)
Ooh, this is really tempting, with RM799 as the price and I still remembered Yu Heng gave me the chance to review it when it is in its early stage, if I am not wrong, it's previously in a transparent blue plastic casing.

It would be great if it includes DAC as well, USB + optical + coaxial
*
First 20 is RM699 only!

QUOTE(toughnut @ Mar 22 2009, 10:19 PM)
Can anyone list out the spec? Like how many channel, battery life, gain type, input, etc?

From the look, doesnt seem to have DAC build in.
*
Spec will be out soon. No, no DAC.

The new battery is expected to last more than 280 hours based on the specification on IEMs. More than enough I would say, the cost is much heavier and thus, new rates may apply but currently we will just stick to the previous battery.

wat? You dun like made in malaysia?? biggrin.gif

I forget to print 'made in malaysia'. we should be proud of it. Malaysia have the resources but we need time to find them.

The amp outlook is designed by yuheng and his 'close friend' smile.gif The internal circuit is by some 'secret professional'.
Anyhow the crossfeed can be used to adjust the soundstage, it can goes from beside the ear to far end at front, amazing experience.
As for the cable, we have decided to bundle in the amp.

The cable really pairs well with secret amp. Btw PCdude have you pass the cable to yuheng? A few buyers interested.

QUOTE(duh2k @ Jun 14 2009, 08:36 PM)
I recently had the opportunity to audition the secret amp rclxms.gif

Paired it with my Ms-2's and my oh my....they really sang  cool.gif  using a combination of songs from my player plus bro yuheng's songs, I find the vocals really clear, sweet and smooth (Faye Wong songs), then we heard to the classic Hotel California by the Eagles.....oh, the separation and detail of the guitars and drums on the opening minute or two were simply superb! Then we shifted to some slow unplugged songs where yuheng turned off the secret switch and suddenly everything became more relaxed and had a 'tubey' feeling if i may use that term smile.gif

My impressions are that the Secret Amp has fantastic detail and separation and it really focuses on vocals smile.gif
Add in the secret switch and crossfeed functions, it's just icing on a very delicious cake

Last but not least, many many thanks to yuheng for letting me go over to his place and listen to his secret amp notworthy.gif

At a crowded place at Subang, I think quite easily accessed. That place is famous thus in google map it shouldn't be hard to notice. Date wise... we plan to have it very near now... Trying very hard but some paperworks to wait for until it is approved...
