well im an mmu graduate and i can tell you none of the FCM courses are worth pissing away 4 years of your life. the lecturers are reaaaaaaly baaad. one class i was asked to teach now thats low. if you want to do animation or any sort of creative media i would say limkokwing is ok but not good. your best bet is academy the one. its your life your wasting no amount of money can replace lost years
*
mind telling me, are u working and what field are u working in? Well, I cannot comment much on FCM since this is in cyber and i dun really know much. ^^
sorry

can tell me more about it then?

Actually there gap is there. The trick is, know the subject and the "way of study". If you can crack that, the rest, wouldnt be so tough after all... Study smart ya.. ^^

You law student? or wad? Well, the main thing is, if you are a business student, you will start to realize subjects are more or less related to one and another. So, just dont learn for the sake of that subject only... I duno how others study, but i dun really go classes. The lecturers also know me ad, and I also duno how i did it. Seriously, I dun mind sharing, but just, the method I use, is like imagination and scanning. I only look at the notes before exam and do some tutorial... And if add a bit more effort, should be able to get A. But for me, its not hard to get B. But is a bit hard to get A. ANd the easiest is to get D. Touchwood, I dun wan get that. Haha...

QUOTE(epalbee3 @ Dec 17 2009, 11:18 PM)
well.. i guess sometimes the methods that students like do not really good for them. e.g. spoon feeding, easy work, etc..

KPI has goods and bads.

Good thing is there is a standard which everyone can follow. less double standards and parasit allowed.

Bad thing is the target set is too high, almost impossible to achieve.

I think as a lecturer, the internal value and passion are very important.

Student personality is something that could not be measured by KPI, where patience/caring is unmeasurable...
*
Wow, that was my long time ago punye post lar. Haha... Anyway, anything that will be implemented shall have goods and bads..

And about you said, bad thing which is target too high. I dun think just high will be bad. People say, aim for the sky, if you fall, you will fall on the trees. Aim for the trees, and if you fall, will be on the ground.

Passion and value is not the important factor as well. If the person have so much passion and values, but fail to communicate with the students, what good shall there be? smile.gif

Foundation is for passing only as it wont be counted as your real cgpa. When entering degree, you will start with cgpa 0.00 over again. So for foundation, live your live to the fullest and when you enter degree, and you are still enjoying, you are wasting your life here and you will be nowhere and stuck nowhere smile.gif All the best
Dont trust what you hear.Trust what you see.Go to the campus Melaka/Cyber (which you want to join) and have a look.Go into the faculty of engineering and enter one of the classes and experience the atmosphere and the quality of the teacher(They dont even know you are a student or not) lolz... icon_rolleyes.gif  Then come out with you conclusion smile.gif All the best to you too
*
Haha.. well, I agree on this though. And there is a new programme. And actually is something for everyone to know. I kinda forgot what is it called. But it is something where you can go to mmu and then go to the classes. Its for the students get the feel of university life and for the unsure students what to persue too... Can check with admission for this...

Look at my attendance:

Attached Image

But my current course work for a subject posted in ICEMS is:

Attached Image

So, you can see, the economics, I got 24 Marks and the maximum is 30.
I ask the lecturer and I got 20/20 for my assignment.
That makes me 44/50 for coursework.

For other subjects, I got 40 and above too, and for cyberP, I was the winner for this semester presentation and I walked away with RM1000. And that subject dont have final exam and that makes me getting a A+.

However, to be barred, there are 2 conditions to be meet.

1) Attadence below 50%

AND

2) Coursework below 30%.

Since I did not meet the 2nd requirement, I will not be barred.

For all this while, I never told anyone to sign for me... The lecturer more or less knows my style too. When I have the mood, I will go... So, chill ya...

Erm...why my coursework part are all empty and its uploaded in mmls and not in student information system. and till now im still blur ,what is actually AA for? students below 2.5 only?and if i get more tha n2.5,its none of business?
*
Atually it all depend on the lecturer. Frankly, very little lecturer upload the marks in ICEMS. Why? Because MMLS is much more easier compared to ICEMS.

AA, you need to meet if your GPA is below 2.5
For example, if semester 1 got GPA of 2.45. So, if you wan to register your subject in the following semester, you need to see your AA. And you will need to fill up a form and submit to the AA. And if your GPA and CGPA above 2.5 and not under Probation, you do not need to bother anything.

I'm going to apply for January intake, but I'm confused about the certifier part too.

I know that any secondary school principal can certify the parts with **, but what about diploma and SPM copy? Do I need my previous university and school to certify it? (I hope not because my previous school is too far D:)
*
As long as u have the original copy, u can Photostat it, then certify by any Oath Commissioner or Government officers or equivalent. Not necessary to go back to school.

I guess any secondary school headmaster is able to certify too, am I wrong?
edit: Just called the admission office. They told me that even primary school headmaster can certify those documents lol.
*
yeap. Because they are government officers (considered to be). So, can go to any school and Photostat it. Then just certify it. Anyone going to melaka. If yes, then you will be seeing me in your orientation. Haha

for the local student in mmu doing their engineering foundation, do they need to take extra subject like Islamic and Malaysia studies?
*
For bahasa kebangsaan, its divided into 2. ! is bahasa kebangsaan A (For local whom did not pass BM for SPM) and Bahasa kebangsaan B (for international students) and jubaz ad said what you need to take...

However, different faculty, are different. If you did not take islam study/ moral in foundation, you will then take in degree. Example is Faculty of life science

after completing the foundation will i be tied with the university for degree?
can foundation result be use to apply a place in other university or college and also scholarship?...
*
Yes you can. You can get the list of university from admision. For example, if u take foundation in UTAR, you can only remain in utar as their foundation is not recognised. MOHE ordered all higher institution to have 3 long semesters and UTAR did not follow. Hence, their cert is not recognised.

im sorry i don't get it well doh.gif ...'yes you can' which part of the question (include:scholarship)? so that mean upon completing the foundation in engineering program in mmu, i can apply using my foundation result to get place in other university? again will i be tied with mmu after the foundation program, to get degree in the same university?
*
Yes you can as mean, you can go other university. And for scholarship? It depends on your scholar. MARA should be ok i guess. Just need to do paperwork. But not sure will they be funding for foundation. Most scholarship funds only from degree on. Sorry I did not make myself clear. And again I want to say, you can go anywhere you want. Which ever university recognises mmu's foundation cert.
