QUOTE(Cottoncandyclouds @ Dec 29 2010, 03:37 PM) Hey, I'd like to ask.... to be on the safe side, why not call them directly?I submitted my appeal (for a very special case) to Monash. Today the PSO(prospective students office) sent me a reject letter. They just told me my application wasn't successful. Usually, appeal replies are sent by the PSO or the school itself? The letter says nothing about my appeal. |

oh my. you qualify for the scholarship but not the course?! what BS is this?
first and foremost who did you apply your course with? my experience with the marketing people there were not that good either. while i was applying for my pharmacy course and requested for a campus tour, that idiot blatantly told me he did not walk into the medical building before. and again, have you directly called the person in charge and ask him/her about your appeal? its better than contacting them with email you know. |

those documents are not going to help much la unless you deal directly with the marketing director or the executive director (like i did)...try to talk to them if all else fails...

QUOTE(Cottoncandyclouds @ Dec 29 2010, 05:58 PM) I got scholarship, but cannot enter course T.T Its like giving a prime steak to a vegetarian. I submitted hard copies so to speak, not electronically. I will follow your advice and find the darn director...where is her/his office? for the marketing director its the same floor with the students placement office lor...BTW, the emoticons are not referring to the shcolarship, they are referring to how I feel after the enrolment officers screwed me over. Hahahhahahahahaha how old are you this year? should be 19 right? |

QUOTE(Cottoncandyclouds @ Dec 29 2010, 06:12 PM) Twenty Next Tuesday!!!! haha. if i am free then i bring you la. but u can always ask the counter ma...where's the marketing directors office....Specifically where? The person might not entertain people barging in.... I honestly feel I am fighting a losing battle... How do I approach the director anyway? I logged into the Monash eadmissions system. While they have stated efE i am 'ineligible' for the business and commerce course ( I got the link just 3 days after my application and a day later they put ineligible), it says I'm still being assessed for the Business and Psychology course, which is my second option. don't worry la..u still got 53 days to fight before orientation starts... hmmm..Business n Psychology sounds more promising though |

QUOTE(hadoupening @ Jan 5 2011, 12:43 AM) Yeah, I guess so... local student. will be driving. buying a 2nd hand car seems much more cheaper than paying the exorbitant rental for the next 4 years. Other Feb students, where will you guys be staying? Sun-U or outside? Also, any seniors here can share their experiences with the dorms? Thanks! QUOTE(Cottoncandyclouds @ Jan 5 2011, 01:02 AM) i told you so didn't I? |

QUOTE(hadoupening @ Jan 5 2011, 04:41 PM) Oh, and btw, can anyone recommend a cheap place near Monash, as in within walking distance? Or else I'll have to stay at the dorms, and the cost is almost half my JPA allowance... hard to get..my cousin once got a room..a REALLY small room in fact.. can fit one mattress and one table and one table fan...20-30 minutes walk away from monash.... |

QUOTE(Cottoncandyclouds @ Jan 5 2011, 05:20 PM) I've got a lot of unique documents inside. Like referrals from lecturers. And certified original copies of certain things which took me a lot of begging and going in between kl an d PJ. er? you can photostat all those original documents and then go to a commissioner of oath to get them certified ma.don't tell me you submitted the ORIGINAL documents for your appeal?! |

hi..
to answer your number 1 question.. there are two types, one is the 'exchange program', in which you go australia for ONE semester, but paying MALAYSIAN fees.though this is only selected by merit. the other type is, you can transfer whenever you want, how long you want, but paying their fees. as long as you have money, you can transfer as many times as you want. |
