QUOTE(Hikari0307 @ Jun 1 2011, 09:30 PM) haha i know i can find lots of asian food, but what i mean is like those those takeaway chinese food like in the steel tingkat container that type?Added on June 1, 2011, 9:43 pm QUOTE(baoz @ Jun 1 2011, 09:20 PM) The whole burger and fries thing is just a myth. There are loads of Asian food in Caulfield, Clayton or in Melbourne for that matter. i mean like those home-cook chinese food delivery in the steel container that type.dont know how they do it in melbourne thoughCaulfield itself is surrounded by Thai, Japanese, Indon, Malaysian and Korean food. Oh, and a pizza place. Clayton I'm not too sure but it's near Boxhill and Clayton on its own being a uni town will have Chinese food. By caterer do you mean restaurant or the caterer in the cafeteria? Japanese fast food and take-aways are a big thing in Melbourne. This post has been edited by ryan18: Jun 1 2011, 09:43 PM |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jun 8 2011, 12:42 AM) Try asking the IT department about it. I'm not sure about this as all my authcath, my monash password everything the same. 1050 per month or 1333 per month for ensuite. and i heard there are flat screen tv in each unit as well as unifi connnection, dont know is it true or notEven in my 3rd year, not all my subjects will have our internal marks out before the exam. Some do some don't but most of them TRY to send us our compiled internal marks before our exam. Lucky Psychology units doesn't have a hurdle. Business units have hurdles but most of the time internal marks for business units will be out (not always though). That's because it looks really nice and it's connected directly to uni if not mistaken. Plus, I heard Starbucks is opening there soon. |

QUOTE(radio_head @ Jun 13 2011, 08:07 PM) bro have you seen the tutorial questions? answers like one mountain. confirm fail already, i wrote ~100 words. The geezer next to me, he wrote 100 words for the introduction to his answers. fail....is fail. lucky tutor pretty, wouldnt be such a waste to repeat then. yeah all my friends try to memorise the tutorial answer questions. i think the length of answer not important, the important thing is you get all the points straight forward.i write pretty short answers not even half-page for 5marks questions.i try to predict the questions too,but my prediction gone far off course as i based it on 2003-1998 past year papers hahaAdded on June 13, 2011, 8:29 pm QUOTE(janice17 @ Jun 13 2011, 02:54 PM) haha money n cap was such a nightmare. revision lecture yeah i did attend, but the only thing she keeps on repeating is the option diagram and also the interest rate curve as well as ask us to do the calculations.other than that no other tipsdid u attend the revision lecture? aim those topics that nicole picked to dicuss during the revision week. it's super important. this is what i did and managed to score a D i think i can get a D or worst case C This post has been edited by ryan18: Jun 13 2011, 08:29 PM |

QUOTE(radio_head @ Jun 13 2011, 08:45 PM) its not 100 words per questions, it was 100 words the whole paper including my name and question numbers. i'd give my left nut for a C now. actually i wont, but i'll still give something pretty valuable for a C. Dr. Lai are u on LYN? we can negotiate my pass!!!!!!!!!! wash ur car for a year everyday. including interior! i sympathise with you,i wish i can donate some marks to you |

QUOTE(NightHeart @ Jun 13 2011, 09:26 PM) Commercial banking is more theories based. So there're lotsa reading to do about banks, it's structure, system, regulations etc if I recall correctly. thanks will take note of itThere'll be some subject which are heavy on theories while some heavy on calculations. So you gotta be good at both. |

QUOTE(NightHeart @ Jun 14 2011, 07:45 AM) Biz Law is fun, but you gotta memorize lotsa cases. i finish all the question though with quite a lot of flipping the book in examLaw subjects are generally an open book subjects, so it's easy to tell who's gonna fail during the exams, just look at the ones who flip through the notes/books the most lol. The problem with law is, there's just not enough time to finish all the questions. So those who waste time flipping through their notes won't have time to do the last few questions. So it's best to memorize the cases instead, do not flip through your books during exams unless you reallyyyy have to. Added on June 14, 2011, 9:54 am QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 14 2011, 08:22 AM) happy holidays to you, enjoy your holiday.sadly i still got 1 last paper on 21thAdded on June 14, 2011, 10:02 am QUOTE(satsugai @ Jun 13 2011, 11:19 PM) shit.. taking money and caps next sem... sounds scary... anybody wanna donate your notes to me? start studying now itself Biz Law is not really hard but the contract part may make your head spin like it did to me.The agency, company, negligence part is quite okalso how hard is business law and introduction to financial accounting? it seems like the difficulty goes waaaaaaaaaaay up sem 2 onwards. sem 1 seems so much tamer in comparison.... Intro to Financial accounting, quite a bit on theory and most of the thing like A Level Accounting. The thing is memorising 10+ accounting standards, to support your calculations.the last topics is agricultural accounting, where you will learn about cows, trees, sheeps, etc haha In 1st moncap lecture,Dr Nicole said its not hard but there is too many things to remember This post has been edited by ryan18: Jun 14 2011, 10:02 AM |

QUOTE(satsugai @ Jun 24 2011, 09:33 AM) hard nolah haha provided you have interest in reading the business related publications like The Edge or the daily newspaper business section.oh yeah regarding the moneycap notes its in blackboard not webdrive.regarding which to focus, focus on the Mathematics on Finance,Bon Market or is it Short term & medium term (the chapter on notes, bonds, commercial paper those, foreign exchange quite important too) funding.some of the front chapters are common sense if you got interest in finance stuffs (eg what kind of a/c bank have, what kind of loan, etc) yes for biz law its Law in commerce (the $400 book that is very precious, misplace it there goes another $400).it maybe useful to memorise some important cases as it saves you time from flipping the textbook in exam. erm you gotta at least know what each case is about roughly and some of these cases are a MUST to quote for a certain area eg negligence Donoghue v Stevenson (dead snail case) dont worry just ride the 'bullet train' as the law lecturer describe the course |

QUOTE(abyone @ Jul 4 2011, 03:27 AM) Sorry. I'm not Malaysian. What's IPTS? I assume we're on the same idea. Who can I consult for the work at USA program? I'm from School of Business. Thanks IPTS is institut pengajian tinggi swasta or in english private higher education institution.for work travel USA, the co-ordinator in Malaysia are Speedwing and also Out of The Box. I think the Career department can give more info on this or even better contact the co-ordinator directly via their website OOTB www.workandtravelusa.com.my or their facebook page Work and Travel USA - OOTB |

As for the business and commerce students, any reading list or books i can read during my one month break before uni starts in august for me? I've been a science student all along and I'm pretty sure I'll be a little bit behind everyone. Thanks ! dont feel that you are behind, coz what our lecturer tell us 'dont think that you are better than those Science students even if you had taken Business related subjects before' Added on July 6, 2011, 4:17 pm QUOTE(janice17 @ Jul 6 2011, 01:04 PM) am planning to go for work and travel in US as well! the last time i asked about it,they said you have to apply before you graduate but you can go after you graduatecan i apply for the program right after i graduated?
