i saw some local apple store selling iphone/itouch battery..
so it is replaceable, but have to ask them to replace it for you perhaps?
unless you know how to replace it on your own..

Assuming if you obtained your unit from Maxis, all you do is return the unit to Maxis and they will do a one for one exchange.

If I am not mistaken, replacement cost of battery is around RM80

I suggest you better protect your screen probably, it will cost around RM800 to replace it. smile.gif

But there would be a duration/term attaching to that, wouldn't there? Otherwise, Maxis or any other business entity will 'die' if customers after having used the phone say for 5 years, the battery goes 'kaput' and ask for replacement.

@PeeEl,
Yeah I'm quite sure there'll be a time frame stipulated but if it's going to be within 1 year then it really makes no sense! I expect the battery to last nothing short of 3-5 years!

@rx330,
I don't know.. I said it *should* esp since the battery is 'not changeable'!

@pelvin,
Yes the normal warranty period is 1 Year so I guess it is 1 year. I know for a fact though that Maxis will do a one for one exchange should anything happen to your iPhone (applicable only to those iPhones distributed by Maxis)

Charge Cycles
A properly maintained iPhone battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 400 full charge and discharge cycles. You may choose to replace your battery when it no longer holds sufficient charge to meet your needs

http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html

*Apple does not warrant the battery beyond Apple's one-year Limited Warranty. The battery has a limited number of charge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced by an Apple Service Provider. Battery life and charge cycles vary by use and settings. See www.apple.com/batteries for more information.
