I tried many brands, Ernie ball, D'addario, cleartone, martin&co. but my favourite is undoubtedly Dr.Ducks' acoustic.
For me, its definitely the best buy ever, cheapest among all strings and the tone is just... awesome. Even my cheap ibanez v series sounded quite good and there's this dr.ducks axwax lube that's just godsent I tell ya.

I use Elixirs because I don't want to restring so often
Ernie Balls snap waaay too easily. D'Addarios don't last very long, which is a pain on floating bridges

i used ernie ball's for my bass and they sound good at the beginning but then after that they rust very fast
so far for bass the fenders lasted the longest without rusting.
