New disaster anime series project from Bones cooperating with Cinema Citrus, slated for July 2009 release.

Story about a young woman who is a delivery person and 2 children (one kid and a school girl) trying to survive an aftermath of Richter 8.0 scale Kanto Plain Earthquake (In 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake, which it is registered at 8.3 Richter scale caused at least 100,000 - 140,000 deaths) that slammed Tokyo in contemporary setting.

This is a very interesting anime series and I will definitely follow it since it is not the usual anime moeshit that I got bored of nowadays.

I highly doubt this is anything supernatural fantasy. Arjuna was very environmental friendly, lol. Looks more like a survival-type show, since they have to escape a broken city and all. If we're lucky we might even get some political drama.

If they're sticking to real world settings, this will definitely be a good catch, if not best title of the season.

That's something refreshing. I wish someday, someone would make an anime about janitors, or railroad maintenance worker.

No la, the anime is based on 1923 Great Kanto Plain Earthquake, they just repeat same scenario with updated modern setting.

In the 1923 incident, Japan was totally unprepared for the earthquake, hence shitloads of people dead.

[BSS] [Aoi-Anime] and many.. but, i stick to BSS

I tried 3 version for this anime...BSS 720p, BSS 480p and Anbu Frostii 480p...and I find the 720p version is nicer but the size is kinda big...for 480p version, I find that Anbu Frostii is a bit nicer than the BSS version...

the quake happened pretty damn quick, i was expecting some long winded before quake stories, but they sure as hell got straight to the point and didnt disappoint me ^^

Heh stormy you and fyonne always recomend animes that suites my taste.

I just found out [Aoi-Anime]'s 720p mp4 quality is equal to ANBU-Frostii's 720p. And it's helluva lot smaller size!
But no OP and Ed subbings though.

Still not sure what subber i should stay with.

I'll stay with ANBU-frostii thought they are slow been watching their subs for years.

I dunno i can believe in that prediction. Though they're extremely good at calculating aeven invented their own calendar with perfect seasonal change in it, it is just hard to believe.

Maybe not the world will end at that year but rather... something else.

^ nah it doesn't mean the world's ending.. it's just they predicted too far in the future.. so they thought the next generations can continue their own predictions.. and they can close shop and sleep.

anyway.. apparently there's a lot of earthquakes recently, and seems like 8.0 isn't that much big of an event.. even Indo's 7.2 looks surprisingly cheap~

I think I cried so much till I cannot breath.

They just stopped their callendar then does not mean anything its not written in their text that its the end or anything.

Yeah Yuki's death really made me cry too.

i thoroughly enjoy this anime. i wasn't expecting anything like the ending which come a surprise and a good one. gotta watch it again to spot the turning point of the movie.

its like watching 6 sense. there are clue but you gotta watch again to notice.

Greatest anime ever watched that talk about family bonding... I cried non stop from the second last episode till the last one... After all the effort and hurdle... The cute and kind lil bro just went away...The memory continues to lingers in the air... Feel like crying again... So so sad...

The Japanese ppl are calm because the moment they go kingdergarten,they have already been taught on what to do and where to go etc etc if Earthquake happened etc etc.They are prepared.

their education also taught them not to think about looting.. no looting case has been reported. no chaos, no fuss.
