I find it surprising that the thread title is even a subject of discussion. That girls are money minded, especially those in the city, is something everyone knows but apparently few admit. Why that is so is something I don't quite understand. And I'm not even saying this to criticize girls, for the demands of modern-day living and the natural desire of humans (both male and female btw) to live a better life surely propels us all to try to gain more of the ability to achieve that, and that ability comes in the form of money.

I do not know if the OP is a male or female, but that is actually quite irrelevant. He/she simply stated something that's been true for centuries. Yet, I would opine that all is not lost for us poorer guys out there, for every rule has its exception. Different girls attach different weights to the value of money relative to their expectation of a good life, and this can range from wild obsession to mere indifference. Don't try to fight it or deny it, for there is indeed a market for every type of girl out there. It is up to us guys to find one who places the meter at a realistic value and something that we individually can achieve. Why worry about the rest?
