hi. would like to ask experts all in here.

my battery's indicator lighted up today morning. i start my car and it's startable. take a 5mins drive and then back home parked. off the engine and crank it again. it failed. the battery is like getting weak where the cranking sound is getting weak and then uncrankable.

alright, i thought the problem is with the battery. bring it over to the battery shop and got it checked. the battery is OK. so, what could be the problem? is alternator's function is just to 'charge' the battery? if so, will it be my starter as the time i crank, the starter starts the car, am i right? (battery power --> starter --> engine started --> alternator charging) is this the correct order?

tq.

It should be the way it is wha you stated. But our starters all have insufficient of power sometimes when the engine is hot and there is not enough current to start the car. You need to wait at least 5-10 minutes rite? Just put a relay at the starter. Ask a wireman to do it. Haha. I am having this problem a few months ago.

2 know if ur alternator is running fine or not u can jus plug out d negative terminal~
if alternator ok then d car will continue running otherwise died on da spot wen u pull it out~
a relay? will get it sort out in my mech. most important now is that if my car is startable tomorrow morning as i got back a spare battery from the battery shop which he loaned me one temporary. havent plug it in yet.

will try cheeann's way. learned a new thing today. another thing about your statement is if the alternator NOT ok, the engine will dies off and meaning it's taking the power direct from the battery itself, am i right?

yes,correct~
ok. tested. u plugged my negative connector out, the engine dies off. so, that confirms that i'm having a bad alternator is it?

u need 2 change new alternator n charge up ur batt n c if it can use up again or not~

rm1.7k for a total ac set? or just the compressor? that's daylight robbery tho... isK~

i hope u can manage to cancel that off...

from my experience... sanden is the best but it takes more 'power' from ur engine... denso is normal... not much comment about it...

given me, i'll go for sanden...
