dear SLK sifus,

my fren ( a gal ) bought a kancil 660 manual 2nd hand last year.

last week only i realized she never service her car.    

her kancil FC about RM44 = 250km.

is it sound a little over for a 660cc SLK?

i plan to assist her to service her car end of this month.

so my question is:

1.Kancil 660 Manual use wat engine oil?

2. Air filter and oil filter i can kao tim.

3.MTF i assume 80W90 normal grade will do?

4.Spark Plug what's the code ? i plan to upgrade NGK G-Power Platinum for her.

5.anything else that need to check?

I would like to ask can my 7~8 years Kancil 850 (Manual) able to climb up to Genting ?
I never mod my car and all is in stock...
my friend told me that old car will be having problem climbing up to genting
like overheating and
they keep asking "Your kancil can go ar ? O.o"

btw, 4 adult including driver will be in car when climbing...

any advice ? 

kancil uses 10W30 engine oil...i recommend using Eneos Eco Touring Engine oil...very satisfied with this engine oil..rm44 for 250km is too little...rm44 should go around 300-320km...gear oil im not too sure but i think its 80W90 like you have mention...need some sifu's to verify this...spark plug code is W16EP-U / W16EX-U..this is from Denso website...

i recommend you to check on timing belt,aircond gas and change the fuel filter as well...and check whether idle timing during off/on aircond too...also check on whether the engines consumes alot of black oil...if it consumes black oil then its time for a total overhaul...

kancil can climb genting...provided that you are single driver...but if you are carrying 4 people in your car,your car will struggle to climb genting...

Hello all kancil owners!

May i know the price for kancil's front brake rotors? My car seems to jerk when i brake, usually in the speed of 60 kmh or more. New tires and balancing has been done.

The shop is in Melaka.
According to my dad who was there while the foreman was changing the front brake pad, it was not an easy task. I also find that the timing belt is slightly expensive.

Wanna check with you guys. This is a Kancil 850 Manual Yr 2001 that I just bought. It is regarding the manual gear change. Every time when the traffic light turns green, if I enter Gear 1 too fast, there will be 'tek' sound. If I enter slowly, no problem. What are the things to check? Is it due to clutch or gear oil?

Is Kancil using GL4 or GL5 gear oil? Does it matter whether it is synthetic, semi-synthetic or non-synthetic?

Someone suggest me to use Toyota's gear oil. Any ideas?

Yes... i feel like kancil like to drink PETRONAS more than SHELL...
I will reset the meter that measure km every time i pump full tank...
For shell, when i had traveled 300 km, i need RM42 to refill to full tank... and the meter reach E...
While for Petronas, i can go around 320km and i pump RM40 for full tank and the meter not even reach E...
i think can go more with PETRONAS but i dont want to push car... 
BTW i driving kancil 850 Manual...

my temp was very high almost touch the red part..only for about 10 mins of driving..what happen? just serviced the radiator and changed related hoses yesterday..when i turn of the engine i can hear bubling/boiling sound coming from the reservoir tanks..water kick back into the reservoir..

can somebody help me?

Recently, my Kancil can't go above 100kph. When I drove back last weekend on NS Highway, I noticed that I could not get past the 100kph mark although the accelerator pedal had been stepped fully. Below 100kph is fine. Did anyone experience this before? Previously, I could drive between 120kph and 130kph but now can't get past the 100kph mark...

I just changed the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter and petrol filter. Mine is a Year 2001 Kancil 850EX in stock condition.

i guess my comprssor kaput already n actly this is my third compresor...juz replaced da comprsor and service da a/c system last year but now...da problem come back...aishhh

this a/c system always sucking my money...damn it..although i seldom use a/c...but dont know y always got problm...

If you ever DYI, let us know the results and how you do it. i oso wan to try DIY oso......

maybe time to change shop is they keep on giving you lousy compressor. anyway u might consider vitara compressor. its piston type and should last longer plus its colder too.

yaa..dats y i need some recomendation from u guys...pliz let me know if there is any best a/c shop in selangor area...

i'm tired of spending too much on a/c system...i know dat vitara compressor is good one but it also makes ur engine heavier rite???

some one advice me to use L7 compressor....but stil need modified a bit..n it suck up ur engine power less than da vitara comp...
