need some advice.
by installing adjustable cam pulley, would it cause any engine problem in the long run? and how bout fuel consumption?
*
nope, wont cause problems if tuned properly... fuel consumption depends on ur leg...

for SOHC engines, installing adj campulley means choosing between pickup or top speed... doesnt really give performance upgrade throughout the powerband...

QUOTE(masao343 @ Apr 29 2009, 02:33 PM)
but i dont have additional grounding stuff done yet, will adding the voltage regulator still benefit my car?
also, are there any extra maintenance needed once this thing is installed?
*
add grounding cable first... gives more improvement compare to voltage stabilizer....

yes, my initial motive of installing it to gain pick up. can overtake car and cross junction safely. biggrin.gif
*
den get adj campulley and advance the cam timing... u'll get better acceleration but sacrifice mid-high rpm power....

节气门,油门  节气门,油门  节气门,油门

Added on April 30, 2009, 2:08 pmi think it is called 油门, because carburetor is called that way, and since carb and throttle body acts the same function. so, no prob calling it a 油门 lo.

mass air flow sensor... sense how much air flowing thru... calculates it in a rather complex programming codes in ecu and determines how much fuel to squirt into ur engine... of coz ur ecu also needs other signal from air temp sensor, o2 sensor, etc...

QUOTE(masao343 @ Apr 30 2009, 05:10 PM)
looks like an ordinary airbox which connects to an open filter...
i think if ur piping long enough, the airbox thing can remove entirely already. dont seem to serve any purpose.
*
pakai hentam doh.gif

QUOTE(masao343 @ Apr 30 2009, 05:29 PM)
means the o2 sensor is located in that box?
then just plug it into your new box/pipe also function, rite?  hmm.gif

p/s: buy oxygen tank from diving shops, plug into that inlet...  rclxub.gif
*
o2 sensor is located at ur exhaust manifold la... doh.gif

QUOTE(Scandal @ Apr 30 2009, 06:56 PM)
yeah.. 4g93 sohc .. so what the main thing that O2 sensor will do ?? can explain ?? thanks
*
o2 sensor detects how much o2 remaining in ur exhaust gas... the more o2 it is, the leaner ur AFR mixture... coz still got many unburnt oxygen in ur combustion..

Damn it!!!! It happen again.
I was cruising about 140kmh, then just abit downhill slope with easy right turn.
I brake hard coz i need to stop at the cyberjaya tmpoint traffic light. But i cant feel any brake force at all. I need to downshift and do engine braking.
But at the meantime, i still pumping the brake pedal, still no sign of brake gripping.
After fully stop, the green light, the brake works fine again.
What was happen? sweat.gif
*
if jz change brake pad... ur new brake pad needs run-in first... means it needs to brush away the top surface level which does not bite well... after that ur brake pad will perform..

another possibility is air bubble in brake lines... when u change brake pad, got bleed ur brake lines as well??....

QUOTE(dj.eRicZzz @ May 9 2009, 04:11 AM)
i got ask a mechanic already..he say he'll tune for me properly...he showed me his car...got wira aeroback n sedan...1 lowered 1 high...both mod exhaust and extractor only...damn kaw powerful and stable...

he say get 4-2-1, 2inch then open pod...instant power!

and most of my friends all intro brothers to me wtf...gonna go there soon n check out the price...what kinda open pod should i look for? got different kind? as in the size n all...
*
2 inch exhaust will be too big... 1.7" will be nice... if 1.6/1.8 engine, get 1.8" piping....
