Hi,

I purchased a Maxis Hotlink prepaid sim card a month ago. Topped it up several times in the meantime (with 10 or 20RM). But still, when I dial 122 the voice keeps saying that my account will expire on 14th April.

What is the problem here? Is a top up of 20RM not enough to expand the airtime period?

Thanks.

The expire data will not extend from the day of expiry. If will count from the date you top up. There is no RM20 top up unless it is a share a top up. For example, if I top up today, 16th of March, for RM 30 (30 days), your new expiry date will be on 16th of March+30 days. If your phone expiry is on 16th of April, it would not change.

If I am not wrong, RM 20 gives you only 10 days. No need to create a thread for this. Just post in Hotlink thread next time smile.gif

Thanks and sorry for creating a new topic. But what do you mean by "phone expiry"? Will I be able to use my simcard after 14th of April? I regularly top it up.

yeah this true..anyway if you have reloaded RM 30 and after that you add RM 10..the expiry date will also in 30 day[no adding]
anyway..you can still use the phone after expiry[receiving call and emergency call only] about 2 months

Ok, let me clarify that: I would like to use my phone for the next couple of months. For SMS and calls, not just emergency calls! So I need a proper and functioning simcard + phone.

If I top up 30RM from time to time, the account WILL NOT expire, right?

RM30 for 1 month, after that u have 30 more days to receive sms/calls b4 your number completely gone.

If u dont use that often, why not just subscribe the 365 days just for RM30/year?
That is if you dont use more than RM30/month if not your credit will just keep accumulate until maximum and cant accumulate anymore

Yes to your answer. If you top up RM 30 every 30 days, your account will remain active. If you are a light user, use the method WaCKy-Angel suggested.

the activated day added is depend on the amount of top up. if u are light user but want to keep yr line active, u can go for 365 plan which u will be charged 30+ for the whole yr active period.
