Hi girls, wanna ask some ques about toner .. which we use for our face after cleansing everyday..

1) Toner is a MUST? what if i skip it?

2) Is there any possibility that toner will create more pimples?

Actually i start using a set of skin care since 2months + ago, but my face tend to grow more pimples easily..it will still go away after few days.. and grow a new one again.. but i don't know what's the problem.. mayb my skin is adapting to new product? or my face doesn't suit it at all? i got no idea..

Recently, my sister finish her toner.. so she use mine. Her face grow few pimples after few days using it.. so i really wondering it is toner that cause it?

I never heard of toner will cause pimples anyway sad.gif

thanks alot for your advise and help notworthy.gif

Here's the ingredient for my toner:

Toner is essential for our skin but it's also important that you use a toner suitable for your skin. Some toners are too harsh causing sensitivity, rashes or acne. Basically, like moisturiser, it has to suite your skin.

Toner is fairly important, in my opinion. It has two important functions -- it removes any excess cleanser which you haven't already washed off as well as any dirt/grime which your cleanser hasn't already removed, AND it functions as a medium for better skin absorption of your moisturizer. This is also the reason why we are advised to apply moisturizer on toner-damp skin.

I'm currently using Body Shop's Seaweed toner and I think it rocks. Leaves a cooling effect on your face. I've never tried the Tea Tree Oil one, so I can't really give any comments on that, but why don't you look for some reviews online?

Dear,

The purpose of toner is completes the cleansing process by effectively removing residual make-up, dirt and cleanser, without tightening, drying or stripping the skin, leaving a natural glow.

It is important to use toner and followed by moisturizer especially before you go to sleep. These steps must follow into steps in order to have a fresh skin early morning. Promise. Anything just ask me because I am ARTISTRY user.

Why don't you try not using the toner for a week or so and see how your skin feels. Toner is important but not everybody may need it. Also you said that your sister used your toner and developed pimples..sounds like might be your toner's problem, maybe too moisturising?

I have acne prone skin few years back and I keep using formula like tea trees, acne fighting type toner and skincare but only irritates my skin. After I changed to mild or hydrating type, my skins gets better. Actually tea trees are very strong...

I'm using Simple Toner now (green transparent bottle), sorry I forgot the full name cause I've finished mine last week and still haven't go to buy a new one yet. Got to do it later. The normal price is about RM17.90.

Eucerin hydrating toner is good too but more expensive at around RM30.

As a poster had said above.

Toner are important for a few reasons, but these are the key reasons:
1) Removing excess make ups that you previously uses
2) Exercising the skin layers to allow better absorption rate.

Very few people are unaware that you have to wipe the skin on your face twice. (Wipe up once, and switch to a new cotton ball and wipe it down)
However, the skin area on the neck MUST be wiped up and only once.

I've tried quite a few cleanser, but I've been using Preme : Natural Toner for nearly a year now. It's soft, at least I dont feel rashes or the likes.

Do enjoy

So must use toner.

one more function of toner is, according to kiehl's beauty advisor, it's to help in balancing the pH of our skin. the water that we use is not pH balance; hence toner can help to do that.
