Maxis 5.0, is it the latest one?

da latest one is 3.1
u get 5.0 after u use da carrier settings frm da other thread

i see. but iTunes never prompt me to update. that's why i chose to update using the .ipcc file. any differences between both?

na itunes wun prompt u 2 update...
u r on 5.0, they hv 3.1
so no way they'll ask u...
diff, i see none...maybe some1 here with da expertise can help in da details...
for me, nothing
both work fine

if u wan itunes update. del the 50212 folder& mymaxis.bundle in /USER/Library/Carier bundle
and also at System/library/carier bundle

after del restart ur phone then plug in itunes voila.

i did delete the folders in the bolded part. but i've left out another one.

the ipcc file i cant update.. it said corrupted or some error i cant recall

@teikwing, as far as i tested u need to remove both place which is the user/ and system/

i hav this problem and i hate it. as i accidentally upgrade my iphone using itunes and now my network carrier "My Maxis" always can't detect my network..sometime when i'm not in maxis coverage "my maxis" change to "No network" the whole day until i change my sim card to other hp and put it back to iphone and the problem solve..I don't know how to fix it..now i'm carrying extra hp incase for emergency..can somebody solve this problem..PLEASE>

what i did was... restore to factory setting using itunes. all applications, phonebook, sms, camera rolls, are all saved. mp3 and vid are the only thing u'll need to resync.

have fun. it only takes 1hour.

and remember after the restore and prompt you "Carrier Settings Update Available" CLICK CANCEL!

it will update ur carrier to MAXIS 3.1,

i called maxis they say this is for their SIM application, like phonebackup etc.

hey. i've been having problems on receiving coverage signal on my 3gs. i think its the carrier problem. do anyone know how to update my carrier manually? because it used to show a notification on the update but i ignored it and it didnt show up anymore since. so now i feel regret and trying to find the update back. pleaseee really need help!!!
