The hotlink website is deceiving

The table shows extra plan so much better than basic plan.

BUT the fine print on the basic plan says

* For data usages, peak is from 7am - 12am, off-peak is from 12am - 7am. Applicable to GPRS & 3G.
* All local calls are charged at 30-second blocks.
* Basic Plan is sold only in Peninsula Malaysia.

I accidentally changed to Extra Plan. Cost Rm 3 to change back

Called maxis customer service to try to reverse, guy tell me

Basic plan 33sen for 1 block, 1 block = 30 seconds......1 minute = 66 sens
Extra plan 33 sen for 1 minute

Called again another person say Basic plan 33 sen for 1 minute and prorated. ........................... but half way talking my phone no battery.....so go charge

So called 1/2 hour later.....get cut off everytime i press 2...2....


Not only the website so confusing. the customer service also.....

Does anybody know whats the difference Basic Plan and Extra plan. I think I want to change Mobile provider

Feels like maxis is tryin to squeeze more from customers by confusing them.

how's it better than basic plan.

For the new hotlink plan lifetime validity...........the top up RM 5 validity for 90 days if we forgot to top up.............our line instantly GONE or we get 30 days extra to top up

think it is marketing gimmick

its a lifetime validity that has no lifetime validity...........its a marketing gimmick....

Hey, I get this bonus offer from hotlink "Free RM9" if top up 22/11 -24/11.............

I was wondering since I get these kind of messages so often........does it get more if I wait..........rarely use the phone though (am on 365) ..........

Maxis promo............top up RMxx by xx/xx/xx is for all customer..........or only specific customer.

Meaning.........maxis see your balance and usage then promo only to you. Cause I find it strange I usually get promo only when my balance small.

mayb someone can inform Consumer association.

for me I use maxis to make phone calls & sms PERIOD. dont do anything else. then okay.

Last time i tried to change plan..........etc........... fruss only.

i think maxis introduced HYC to recruit users.......since number tied to supplier last time.........now no point alreadi.

Hey, can our Hotlink use in Korea and Japan to make calls/sms? the website say some countries cannot due to govt.etc

Is there any disadvantages from the old "talk Plan" to the current "hotlink Plan"

My mum is on the talk plan so not sure if i should advise her to change.
